I had my second LD last night, but the problem is is that it only lasted about 15 seconds.
I kept talking about being in a dream and then realised I was dreaming. It slightly improved the vividness but not much, it was as vivid as remembering an event a few months ago.
I lifted up a car with Telekinesis but then everything faded away. I fogot that I was dreaming and cannot remember what happened afterwards.
What happened?
You lost lucidity and drifted of to a ND.
Always do reality checks and keep telling yourself that you’re dreaming. When everything starts fading, rubb your hands or something to increase lucidity.
Yup, always spend time at the beginning to increase the vividness until it is as real as RL, use things like shouting commands, or creating some “vividness pills”…try anything until something works (anything should work as long as you believe it should…but you might need to try different techniques until you find one that your subconscious believes might be possible).
If you spend this time at the beginning, the dream will be a lot more realistic, should last longer, and you should be able to remember it easier…also, if you start losing lucidity, try staring at your hands, or at some other fixed point to bring yourself back into the dream world.
Cheers, will do next time.
Mhm, never do any quick movements in your lucid dream until it’s completely real and stable. Else, you risk drifting away to a ND.
Thanks. The only problem is I rarely have an LD.
Advice!!
Whenever I look at my hands, I have special “Rules” for when I become Lucid…
- I need to know what I want before continuing the LD, but don’t rush into it - take it slow.
- If my surroundings start going dark, I have to peel my eyes open rather than actually opening my eyes (I usually open my real eyes and wake up if I try to open them while dreaming).
- I can ask DC s for help.
- I must remember that I cannot always completely control my entire dream – I used to become very frustrated when I didn’t have complete control and my frustration always woke me up.
- I need to REMEMBER IT’S ONLY A DREAM. Many times I forget that I am dreaming and hold onto ridiculous morals and restrain myself. This usually takes the fun out of my LD.
Hope these “rules” help you. They helped me.
yeah , very nice rules list .
and congrats hk-50!
