POINT:
A Photo slideshow of personal images relating to either past/present/future dreams in order to “program” (for lack of a better term) your subconscious with actual IMAGERY…
What I have been doing lately is right before bed I would spend roughly 1/2 - 1 hour searching Google Images of things that remind me of dreams. Sub Consciously I want nothing more than an island paradise… see where I’m going with this. I through in cool digital realms of planets and galaxies. Tons of things I personally want to dream about. I have a program than allows me to make a photo slide show, and throughout the day I will watch this hoping to improve my lucid living.
Here’s where the idea gets better. I also included such items as clocks, stairs, doorways. Many things of which I feel half to to do with my view of Lucid Dreaming access.
The 1 picture that I copied, over 5 times throughout the slide show was a Caution Sign. So every time the slide show I would perform a reality check.
CONCLUSION:
Many of you may have the same program or capability. I wish I could post pictures of the awesome islands and Wond3rlandS I have found through Google. I’d think it was worth a shot. It’s helped me tremendously with WILD. Programming your conscious for the switch is difficult for most. But I believe it is a long lost trait. That, if mastered, could be beneficial beyond ANYTHING… ANYONE… could have imagined.
I dreamt about my first visit to a beach last night (4/3) It was so amazingly vivid, and the water was beautiful. The majority of the slides in my slide show are of island paradises. Success, maybe???
I found a post by WOND3RLAND which explains a very cool idea. It can be found here. But here is what I did:
I went on Google Images and found and downloaded images that reminded me of lucid dreaming and one “REALITY CHECK AHEAD” sign. I downloaded exactly 111 images, but 12 of those consisted of that same reality check sign, which would appear exactly every 11 pictures. I went into Winamp and compiled a playlist that contains DragonForce’s four power ballads: (1) Trail of Broken Hearts, (2) A Flame for Freedom, (3) Dawn Over a New World, and (4) Starfire, respectively. And I play them and start the slideshow. The point is to get carried away in the music and images. Sometimes I might randomize the order of the 111 images, to add a little bit more variation.
As the slideshow nears the end, it gets more and more surreal and intense. The picture at the end of the slideshow, instead of including the “REALITY CHECK AHEAD” sign, includes a sign that says “warning: shock hazard.”
You might be wondering why I started trying it more than a month later: Well, it’s because the new Quest for this month just inspired me. The power ballads will make the experience more intense and vivid and thus it will make my dreams more intense and vivid. Credit goes to WOND3RLAND for the original idea. I just thought I’d post my version and possibly revive that thread and give it more attention.
merged the two topics since they discuss the same technique.
