A new technique!!!!!

ok so last night i was trying to fall asleep and i was really in the “mood” for a LD. So i tried to make up my own technique. Ok this is how it is.
First you shud relaxxxxx!! ok this is wat i did. I visualized that i was in skool and i was writing about lucid dreaming. Then when i was done writing i wrote in big letters “i will have a LD tonight” signed my name. Then i just went to sleep. AND guess watt i got a LD!!!
MY LD: all i remember that i was in skool and i was walking in the hallway. Then i just knew that i was dreaming and did a RC. I saw my friend and i saw that he had an iphone in his pocket and i took it and ran away. Then i stopped, and then woke up. But i was still lucid!! Im gonna give this a try tonight again and see wat happens!

This technique is reallyyy easy and it worked for me on my first try! :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:

Can you explain this technique more “in depth” and possibly give it a name?
It sounds really cool, but i find it is alot like auto suggestion, or MILD. Good job though :razz:

Yeah what SultanOfSwing said, I would say it as both auto suggestion in milk together. Put it in more in depth. Did you visualize right after you relaxed and you did it right when you got in bed?

ok this is what you do.
1.) relax for about 5 mins and breathe in and out.
2.)Then start to visualize that you are in school and you are writing about lucid dreaming. Keep writing what ever you want to write about lucid dreaming. Then when you are finished write in big letters “i will have a lucid dream tonight” signed your name. You don’t have to be sleepy to do this tech. Then when you are done doing the tech just go to sleep normally. You do NOT have to use WBTB with this.

Ok I will try this tonight and give results tomorrow. It seems like it’s a MILD + DILD :lol:

I didn’t do it last night :sad: I tried to do it in the morning b/c I was tired but I decided to go downstairs and eat breakfast. Gah! I need a LD soon! I’ll try again tonight.

I have a question!!

when you visualise writing stuff on the paper, is it just loads of random stuff about lucid dreaming or is it just one sentance? I get the impression that it’s loads of random stuff, but uh, just to make sure :sunglasses:

cool technique, but I have a feeling it might have been the feeling you had, that you really wanted a lucid dream, that got you there. I’ll try it anyway.

I got the impression that you’re supposed to visualize yourself being in school writing a paper on lucid dreaming - Simply imagine you have been assigned an assignment to write a whole paper on lucid dreaming - What it is - How you do it - Why would you do it - Your own experiences and so on, and when you are done simply write “I am having a lucid dream tonight!” and sign it with your name.

IT WORKED! KIND OF… ALMOST…

I was going to bed at 1:30 AM. I imagined myself sitting in school writing a paper on lucid dreaming. I think I spent about 10 minutes writing it - And fell asleep while doing so. So I failed completing it, BUT - I did have a dream about being in school (which I rarely have), so I believe it kind of worked as dream incubation. If I had only completed the paper, written “I am having a lucid dream tonight” and signed it I probably would have had a lucid dream :razz:

But i had an Ld that night anyway.

sounds very similar to the VILD method.

I did the technique, but sometimes I got sidetracked into thinking about other stuff - I remebered quite a lot of dream(s) though, which was a step up.
No lucidity.

I’ll try it again tonight.

I had no lucidity last night :sad: What I did instead of writing it on a piece of paper I told the person that was sitting next to me about it. This might not work for me.
