A query for hardcore Lucid Dreamers

Hi - this is Tan. I’ve discovered one of the most foolproof methods for LDing - thread was deleted unfortunately when we moved - but will put it up again soon.

I’ve had about 9 LDs till now. The problem is with WILDs.
I’ve managed to have 4 WILDs - although the best method for LDing, its simply too tough!
I’m going into last night -
Tried WILDing - fell into the dreamworld. For me, my WILDs ALWAYS startup in my bedroom.
The problem is dream control. First of all, its extremely weird. Although things are sharp, all my movements are sluggish - I don’t seem to have adequate control.
For exaple - i tried to envision myself outside. Didn’t work.
Tries to summon my best friend. Didn’t work.
Tried to spin around. Couldn’t!!
And there’s always this eerie feeling whn I WILD - like something’s not right.
My movements across the room are SLOW. Like I’m moving through some viscous material.
I don’t believe in Astral Projection - I think i might be forced into believing it.
For one thing - the details of my room in the dreamworld are EXACTLY the same in RL.
Although reality checks fail.
Can anyone advise me?
Sorry if I rambled. This really putting me off WILDing.

<PS - when I DILD or MILD- I seem to have great control, but not in WILD>

well I’d just say that maybe you have some subconscious bad thoughts about WILD or something. Or just use a different technique if you can’t fix it. ahh but I’m not hardcore.

Thanks! Any help is appreciated.
But, how do I eliminate these thoughts??
Its too bad I can WILD usually whenever I want.

well if it’s in your subconscious you’re not gonna be aware of the thoughts, so…

say to yourself randomly throughout the day, ‘When I have a WILD, I will be in total control’ or something along those lines.

Hi all, I’m new, and I want to know if the WILD technique is the other way - the intentional way - to have a SP ???
Because I do SPs and they have the same features as in the WILD technique.

yeah that’s WILD. Where you consciously enter a dream.

@tan

For me, it’s more like you expect LD’s by WILD to be like that. Don’t expect them to be like that. If you will expect so, they WILL be sluggish. Try to raise your lucidicy, it’s factor mostly influencing on control. Try voice commands, understanding that it’s a dream (sounds odd, but it’s useful. Sometimes I realize that I’m dreaming, but I’m not realizing all posibilites it gives to me.), lucid pills, lucid cola.

I don’t think that you was ending up APing - Most of the times it’s obvious, mostly because you can see your body lying in bed. You’d notice that

i had an LD once where it was like a nightmare, but I couldn’t do anything to protect myself, only speak. Like when I had a false awakening, did a reality check, then tried to kill my mom (she wasn’t my mom I assure you! i saw that she was really an alien out to kill me) with a knife, but i couldn’t do anything but poke her! Other stuff happend too, and whenever i tried to defend myself, I became a slobbish mess with not energy or control. It was like part ND and part LD, and it was terrible!

I’m no good with WILD so I consider you to be very lucky to be able to do it whenever you want. Don’t worry about not being able to teleport och materialise things. 9 lucid dreams is not so much time to practise these things, you will learn how to do it in time.
As for the sluggish movements. I have had some trouble with that. Usually running is impossible, not so much from resistance but more like I’m gliding. But I have had the experience of getting stuck for no aparent reason. I think this has to do with a sort of awareness of SP spilling over into the dream as my body is waking up. Now I’m thinking, if this happens for you with WILD then it wouldn’t be strange if the explanation is that you are not quite fully asleep yet. Maybe it will go away if you fall asleep more completely. And I think the way to do that is to stabilise the dream. Could also be that since the dream starts that way, and you do have a stable dream and sleep, the dream continues to keep you moving sluggishly since you are dealing with the problem at the time. You could try simply imagining your movements as more swift and controlled instead of struggling to make them so.
