Ok I have a question relating to Reality Checks and dreamsigns. I know how everybody always says “when you see your dreamsign, perform a reality check!”. But what if your dreamsigns are from videogames you haven’t played in awhile? Yeah, I’m ashamed to admit, around 75% of my dreams have something relating to video games in them. Like it’s wierd, in the last two weeks I’ve had about three-four dreams, where the dreamscape is a map from Halo 2 (lol, this cracks me up for some reason). Just last night, my dream involved Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six and a group of friends in an abandoned (possibly haunted) mansion. Anyways, I was just curious if there is a technique I can develop so that I recognize these blatantly obvious dreamsigns? Cheers.
Don’t be ashamed. My dream-sign our usually computers (or some type of exotic vehicle which is cooler). I am on the same boat as you since I usually can’t remember my dream-signs.
there sure is mate its pretty simple too.
just think about the dreams that you have had, were they involve games are try and picture them as clearly as you can. now that you have them in your mind see your self doing a RT. and becommming lucid. keep doing that and say to your self " the next time i have a dream like this i will realise it is a dream and become lucid" really meanit when you say it and see your self becoming lucid. next time you are playing a computer game just takea few seconds out to do a RT or just think about lucidity and what you would like to do if this were a dream and you were in that game world.
good luck
Amused Himself To Death, if your dreamsigns are from videogames, perform a RC each time you play videogame. It’s not important at all whether you dream about old videogames, that’s just videogames.
Interesting. Thanks
TimeLess_Soul and Basilus West made two good suggestions.
Additionally you can print some screenshots of the games you dream about, hang them up around the house and do an RC everytime you see them.
The only problem is that it’s usually a different map every night, lol. Thats what I call a curveball.
No, no I have the real problem… I recognize a possible dreamsign (for me its my the front of my highschool or, yes i admit it, a keyblade from kingdom hearts) so my freaking subconcious keeps me away from them while I’m dreaming.
