Hi all, since I now got a laptop, I thought it would do no harm in trying to use it to induce lucid dreams
Anyways, I’m using Dreamscape and I just wandered what is the best time in your sleep to induce lucid dreams? I think it was about 4 hours into sleep but I can’t remember
I think that’s right. From what I understand, the REM cycle kicks in after 4, then after 2 more, then after one more.
An external way you might try with your new laptop (although I don’t know about how this would integrate with Dreamscape), is to use the sound card in it and keep in on by your bedside (also good for a digital dream journal). Plug a small speaker into the headphones jack and put the speaker near your head.
I actually found a “Pillow Speaker” at Radio Shack on clearence for $1.99, that you can slip inside your pillow case. Just something small, because it doesn’t need to be too loud, or it will completely wake you up. Then you can use any audio for inducing lucid dreams, or even record your own voice quietly suggesting “Is this a dream?”. Make the audio triggered to play as a scheduled task (if you use MS Windows, and it will prompt you early in the AM with your audio queue.
I plan do start doing this very thing if I could get my toddler to sleep in his own bed for once!
as you have laptop, use bwgen for lucid dreams. it is very effective
