I’ve came across my own Technique which I am currently practising with
and so far I’ve had 1% success lol. It’s a small percent but a small percent is
Better than nothing I suppose. Anyway here is what I do.
When lying down in my bed, with my eyes closed.
The moment I start to see visions/imagery. Even if it’s only
for as mall second or two I’ll tell my self I’m dreaming.
Last night I fell into a dream, and I was on some sort of bus
chasing away from something, with other people around me. I remember
telling myself I must be dreaming. The other people that where on the bus
asked me (Why don’t I just wake up then). So a few seconds later I awoke.
I thought to myself that this was a great first success, but It wasn’t
the kind of success I was hoping for. Practise makes perfect .
Feel free to try this and let me know how you get on.
I must be very slow in the uptake because I not only tell myself before going to bed that I am dreaming, but all during the day. I think this is a Tibetan way to attain lucidity, knowing that even out “real” life is nothing but a dream, and to remind yourself of it constantly. I think this is a great way, but not as easy as it sounds to remind yourself of it through the day. It is so easy to get lost in the day to day things.
I know exactly what you mean, doing it in the day and before
going to bed would most likely improve your chances. But I thought
I’d go the other route and try it while I’m actually closing my eyes, with the
Imagery coming into play, because It’ll give you a better chance of having a LD.
