I am new to LD’s (tonight will be my third slumber since learning of them) and I was wondering something quite simple about them. If all my attempts at LD involve my concious intent to dream about a particular thing, will my eventual LD be of that intended dream? It’s what I think of every night when I sleep, walking on a beach with a beautiful girl… I am going to use that same thought until I am eventually successful at waking up in it… but will this work? or could it be something completely random? I’m pissing my pants in excitement about it if so
It might work I have fallien asleep so many times thinking about meeting IRC people in a classroom, for example, and it has gotten into my dreams.
Besides, when you become lucid, you can decide to visit the scene you want to. There are many ways to do that, but maybe the easiest way is to imagine you will find that beach behind the next door…
Well your lucid dream will be about whatever you want however; you could use your thoughts just before bed to incubate a dream that will make you realize you are dreaming.( See the VILD technique)
I always have dreams that involve the things I think about during the day, but most especially the final thoughts before I drift into sleep. I remember one dream from when I was very young having to do with Darth Vader. Right before I fell asleep his mask flashed through my mind (HI) and I dreamt about him. So odds are yes, it’ll definitely happen! But whether or not you’ll turn lucid… that’s a whole other story.
Well, if you’re lucid, you could just decide to go to the beach adn meet the girl.
Or, you could decide to go somewhere else. Anywhere else.
Or, you could go somewhere completely random - let your sub-c choose for you.
but is the girl & beach and appropriate (and effective?) method of creating a window into my dreams? I mean up to this point I still havent even been able to get HI during my WILD attempts. I am up for 30 mins some times with my eyes shut the whole time, and I cant get anything more than maybe a few vague bars of light that I would normally get from THC

CLIW-Curved Legs Induced WILD
it’s very simple, you need to be on your back with your legs up instead of touching the bed except for the feet. The legs must be touching together; i did this technique or position and it worked pretty good to be my first try, I saw HI and had vibrations quickly…
To be perfectly honest with you i’m afraid to sleep on my back now that i’ve read all this shit about old hags and aliens and SP hallucinations.

It is just fine what you`re doin Forw4rd.You can use anything you like -girl and the beach,a book, flying, etc.
As for the HI- there are people who dont get them.Im another example- all i see under my eyelids is just a black void regardless of how long im lying there.
There are two things you can do about it- first is sleep deprivation.The longer you stay up without sleep the more your brain will try to force you to dream- this eventually leads to HI even with your eyes open.
Second(i havent tried it for long mainly cuz my work is connected with computers)- try watching no screens.No tv or computer,no flicking images.This is said to increase ability to visualize.
