a year alreadd

Its been a year+ since I started trying to LD, and I’ve yet to have a single one.

Sorry to hear that, Viridian…

…but please keep trying! :shy: I know it’s hard to keep up motivation… but quoting someone that quoted someone else, “a lifetime of trying is worth a single lucid dream”.

I know you know this, but some people just take more time to get their first LD…

I mean, you might want to take a break, but just don’t give up for ever! :bored:

It seems I’ve been taking breaks forever now, and I don’t know what to do. Tried everything.

I began using WILD with WBTB, but that was 4 months of miserable failure, so I tried normal MILD without WBTB, and it worked better…

I think you should try something and stick with it for a while instead of trying many different techniques in one week. Persistence and determination are key!

Awww man…Im really sorry about that! If I were you I would try chaining…
But you really shouldn’t give up! Imagine how happy you are going to be when it finnaly happens! Something that seemed to help me the other night was: MILD!
I said to myself “TONIGHT when I am dreaming I want to realize that I am dreaming.”
I think this works better beacause you are implying that you will definitley dream that night. Best of luck!

P.S. Is your icon a real picture of you? Just curious…

Thanks, :\ I don’t know why, but I feel I’ve lost all motivation to LD now, its like, so what if I LD now. I think thats a big problem now.

Hmmmm, how is your dream recall? Do you remember you dreams often? If not then perhaps you have had lucid dreams and simply dont remember them.

you’ll have one today

listen carefully

lie on your back [or somewhere else] and talk to yourself while you fall asleep

no need for “I am lucid” more like

“My life is perfect and beautiful.”

now, when you awaken, and realize that you forgot what you were saying, don’t go back to sleep, and don’t roll over

NOTICE where you are, in your mind, and remember everything you can

likely you just had HI and HH, and haven’t gone into REM yet.

fully study what this feels like, and you have choice but to master lucidity in a short time, after-all, if the mind is determined to
*not roll over
and * keep repeating one thing

how can it fail ? if you really need to roll over then get up and drink a glass of water, then go to bed in a different sleeping position and start again.

It took me a while before I had my first LD too. I’d tried lots of different techniques, without any results. Then I didn’t really think about dreaming for a few months. But then I just had a LD out of the blue one night; Maybe you’re just trying too hard?

I’m not trying too hard, I’m barely trying now a days.
Yes I remember sometimes 3 dreams a night most the time 1-2.

I’ll try what eyelid says tonight thanks

I first had a lucid dream before i even knew what it meant. It just happened, you will get it eventually

its tricky, the only reason i’m not always lucid is because i roll over

“well i will lie here until i feel like moving and get up”

“nah, forget that.”
