About dream recall

Hi guys. I started to learn lucid dreams a few days ago. I’m following “A course of lucid dreaming” by Sthepen LaBerge. I’m in the first exercise “Dream Recall”. I don’t wake up in the middle of the night, I’m only write out my dreams only when I wake up in the morning. By doing this, I can remeber two dreams per night. So, the question is: that are all my dreams? Because LaBerge says that there are rems periods about 90 minutes. My two dreams per night, correspond with the last rem period, or with other? Should I wake up in the middle of every rem period for improve my dream recall? How many dreams per night we have? It’s enough for me to remeber two dreams per night?

Thanks in advance!

PD: Excuse my really poor english, I’m from Argentina

No, you don’t have to, but you can if you want. As you progress you will get better at dream recalling. You can remember more dreams by waking up in the middle of the night because you can write your dreams down, go to sleep, and then wake up in the morning remembering possibly a few more. Although im not getting better at dream recall its kinda getting worst. Now i cant remember dreams everynight like i use to. ( Maybe someone can help me with this? ) And thats all i have to say. I hope this helped some  Oh yeah for the last question i think we have like 10 or something maybe less maybe more.

The more often I wake myself up before it is time to actually get up, the more dreams I can usually recall.
Sometimes I remember so many dreams in detail that I can write pages upon pages in my DJ, while at other times, I remember not a single dream (that does not happen too often anymore, though). I think it depends on whether you really want to remember dreams and write them down.
I was actually quite shocked when one morning, after almost 5 weeks during which I could easily remember dreams, not a single one would come to my mind. :eh: However, I guess it can happen. It has gotten better since, with a little effort on my part.

I think a lot more dreams occur during the night and only the last ones can be easily remembered. I sometimes remember additional dreams by asking myself what happened before a dream which I remember.

i’ve been starting to remember my dreams and i dont keep a DJ! its because i want to so i just remember them.

easy!

Yes, intention is a huge factor in succeeding. I’d advise to write them down, even if you remember them.
I’m saying this because remembering lots of them are hard. What did you have for breakfast five days ago, by the way?

Dreams comes from REM state, but sometimes dreams “ends”. Dunno how to explain it, trougth.

Nope. Just base of writing up or just recalling dreams after natural wake up.

Well, yes. You’ll propably recall LD easier.

Thanks for the reply guys! Tomorrow I complete the ten dreams recall for the exercise one, and then I’ll start with lucid dreams techniques. So, I’ll be posting my progress.

Four pieces of bacon, two eggs, two pieces of toast, hashbrowns, and a freakishly large waffle from the breakfast place down the street.

Well can anyone help me now? I keep a DJ and write every dream down, but i can seem to remember dreams like i use to when i first started. I use to have at least 1 LD everynight, now its rather every week  Help me please.

I guess when you first start out, you really want to have a lucid dream. Then, after a few successes, you think about all the cool things you want to do while lucid - but not about actually about becoming lucid!
That’s a mistake. :content:

This doesnt help much but i really wanna have another LD… My friend is getting better he can remember 4 dreams everynight. A few times when i first started i had 2 LD’s for a few nights. I Need Much HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

if you’re asking me then i can’t remember, but it was probably wheatabix, or maybe golden nuggets lol
