ok, I was wondering whether (possibly) the accuracy of lucid dreams increases? What I mean is, when you LD, or even just normally dream, they are created and stuctured by your mind yeh? well if you like changed sex in a dream, you would feel it as your mind would think it would feel if it actually happened. Like flying, you dont know how it feels to fly independantly so when you do it in a dream, it is how you think it would be. (I hope you got that.lol) so if you wanted to dream something that you dont have a clue what would be like, you wouldnt be able to dream it because your mind doesn’t know what it would be like? does this mean some lucid dreams are better than others, based on your knowledge about the subject your dream is about?? thanks
I get what you’re saying, but I don’t know the answer. I don’t know if it really matters, though, because if you’re flying, you won’t be questioning how realistic it is. If you are though, you have too little to do in your dreams. (my opinion only)
I suppose it would be an odd situation, but I’d need an example to clarify. (I’m tired and can’t think right now, so sorry for not thinking one up)
iv thought about this b 4…and i think way-back-when (b 4 i took a long break from LDing thanks to school) i believe i made a post about it…i think if you try to do something your mind has no knowledge of, well, id think your mind would either make something up or …well lemme give you an example im thinking about
say you go to your school in an ld…and you walk up to a door that goes to a room you’ve never been in…if you knew this room was a class room then your mind would probably make it look like n e other class room…but say there was a random, locked, unlabled door in your school that no one ever went in…if you went up to that door in a dream and opened it, id think your mind would just make a big black space…like there would be nothing there
im probably wrong but thats what i alwyas thought
I like the thoery I heard, which is that your mind makes the experience out a combination of other experiences and a bit of expectation. So like flying would be a combination of wind in your face, falling and a little bit purely made up.
kl. ok thanks just wondering…
That’s a good example adg12012. I’d expect an old closet or something.
Ant- That’s a good way of putting it man! Never thought of that…
I wonder what is to dream something that you dont have a clue what would be like. You have clues about anything, don’t you? They may be wrong, but you have clues.
yeh i guess…basically a construction of what you interpret that thing to be…strange, but I guess thats the way your mind works. Trying to make sense out of an unfinished puzzle or something like that…clever though
