ADD

It has just occured to me that I have a serious problem with ADD, and Ive had it all my life. Like when I put in a movie I will walk out in the middle of it to go for a walk. Im allways running in, and out. Im surprised Ive been able to LD for 6 years, but I do that off, and on. This is why I can never finish any projects. I have alot of creative energy, but Ill start on one project, and get interested in something else. Check out this list of Hobbies, and interst I have had just in the past three months.

HIking, making hiking sticks, camping, drawing, writing a movie script, starting a internet radioshow, wicca, storytelling, and writing, photography, and railfanning(I have no idea where railfanning came from it was a random interst I picked up)

Im not exagerating. Ill get pumped about an idea, start woking on it then Ill go off on something else. Its really starting to anoy the hell out of me now, because I cant get anything done.

Kava, though IANAD, I can positively assure you that you don’t have ADD.

Anyone who can go at the length you go writing speculative posts (and reading and watching material to support it), and more importantly, anyone who can spend six hours of their life updating a clock manually on a blog post does not — I repeat: not — have ADD. But you can go see a doctor about that just to be sure, if you’re concerned.

That being said, I sympathise with the underlying affliction. We’re demanded more attention that would be healthy for a mere human being to spare, in modern days. We have no time to stand by, relax, not think. Too much information comes from all around, and if we’re not processing informaiton we tend to feel guilty and anxious. Some people simply have to shut down or reboot at some times, and since we cannot do it at work or school without being sent to the psychiatrist for a drug prescription for ADD, we tend to stray away precisely from what interests us.

We, like you said it, start watching a movie and decide to go for a walk.

Don’t worry about yourself. Just give this some thought and try to strike some balance. Don’t feel guilty for losing focus, it’s your body begging of you to relax and do nothing a little.

I know it feels nice to put a label on everything, like thinking you’re an indigo child or having ADD to explain your personality flaws, but try to avoid using these things as an excuse to not having to do anything about them. Nobody is perfect. In fact if you do an online personality disorder test problem over 90% are diagnostic with something.

I think its society that conditions us to label our prsonal flaws. I mean if a kid in school dosnt pay attention then they have ADD, or they put them under a microscope, to figure out the label they should stamp them with. There use to be a time where people were just normal in the way that people are diffrent, but now it must be paranoia, or the fact that we all need to be robots, and if anyone is the slighest bit diffrent they must cram drugs down there throwt to fix the probem. The situation is. I saw something the other day about tatoots… Depending on how many tatoos a person has determans how bad of a criminal they are most likley to be. Its like “You have ten tatoos you are on the rapist list” Its rediculous I mean why is it that society puts itself under a maganafying glass? Maybie Im not ADD maybie I just have too much energy. You know with the way we bring up kids today we are probley destroying alot of potential artist, or leaders.

Yep that’s indeed the case at the moment. Personally me and my parents always resisted to give in to this label-mania and unnecessary drug prescriptions. If I had listened to any results about me, I would now be low-educated, instead of having graduated from university with ease and using my talents at work to make a good living.

My wife is very much ADD, and I’ve learned a lot about it ever since we first met. The big thing I’ve learned is how many people get misdiagnosed with ADD when they are erally right brained. You have a ton of creative powers, are very visual, etc., but it doesn’t mean you have a disorder. Most people out there (especially teachers, doctors and people in management positions) are left brained, so when students, patients or employees exhibit different thinking or learning processes, they assume something must be wrong.

You should really take a right/left brain quiz to see how you rate.

to further elaborate ,

when you say its “add” then you are working within a system that has a horrible success rate at treating its human guinea pigs

any way , the yogic alternate nostril breathing puts everyone into alpha brainwaves, clears the body of toxicity , and brings about happiness, it is the best way to get “high” and it is as easy as breathing , it is probably the best add cure out there , as it balances both brain hemisphers

youtube will show you how to do it
