Afraid of the dark.

I’m a person who gets Sleep Paralysis all the time. And now, with my new sleep schedule I have been getting it at least twice a day. I don’t have a problem with this since I got used to SP and I learned how to turn it into a lucid dream. During early morning, I can go back into SP if it ever breaks to try again.

At night it’s a different story. I would fall into sleep paralysis at the beginning of the night, and breaking out of it would be the first thing that comes into my mind instead of trying to get lucid from it. I would keep on falling into it again and again but I would never try too hard to get lucid. Also, I would try to avoid it instead of falling into it. Even if I get a partial exit, I would get scared and try to break out of it.

I need a little help overcoming my fear of the dark. Anything would help. Thanks!

It’s strange because for body it’s only normal if enters SP when dreaming. I don’t know why do you enter SP at the beginning of the night at least if it’s before some 90 minutes…

Even if you do enter SP before this 90 minutes or so, you will probably not dream that’s why you can’t turn SP into dream…

I’m doing polyphasic sleep. I usually have a nap somewhere around early evening and t his is usually NREM sleep. So my core sleep at 2AM-ish is usually two REM, with a NREM in the middle.

Oh, now I get it. Well I don’t have experience with polyphasic sleep… I guess that body still does the same thing. No real REM sleep before that specific time and that’s why you can’t get dreams as quickly as in the morning… I don’t know really. I guess that experimentation is your next move…

Good luck! :content:
