After my first LD..

well, i got my first LD last week, and since then ive been forgetting about doing RC’s and the MILD method is starting to give me less results

im kind of frustrated with myself that i can’t remember to do RC’s

today is friday so should i do a WBTB with MILD?

Keep trying. I was like that too, with it not working after the first time.

Results will go up and down. SO it’s only a matter of time before you have some good results again! :content:

You should do what ever you think might help. Sorry, I’m not much help in that area.

Haha thanks anyway for replying =] i appreciate the advice

Hey, no problem!

Glad I helped a bit! :content:

yes
WBTB really increases the chances of success

so when going to sleep do i do the “when im dreaming i’ll realize im dreaming” mantra and wake up about 5 hours later and do it again?

When I use MILD + WBTB I use the method LaBerge outlines in EWLD. That is, as I go to sleep I say “I want to wake up from me dream and remember it” and then when I wake up from it then go back to sleep but use a mantra involving recognition of the dream state. Simultaneously, I imagine myself in the dream I was having, seeing a dreamsign and realizing I’m dreaming.

this way is really effective. i highly recommend it.
it’s quite cool how when you tell yourself to wake up at a certain time you usually do. i always set an alarm just in case though.

good idea  ill give it a go tonight,

the mantra will be ill wake up at 500 and remember my dream. and then wen going back to bed just imagine myself becomng lucid in the dream.

do i have everything?

I believe so!

You CAN do it!! :woo:

I may try it tonight too.

Haha awsome
I’m hoping to get sum positive results tonight

MmHmm. Just don’t get to disappointed if you don’t. Keep trying no matter what. Determination and patience is key, I believe!

Good Luck!

O, I forgot to mention, I think somebody said it early but remember to set an alarm clock just in case you fail to wake from a dream. I’d say 6 or 7.5 hrs after you go to bed would be ideal.

wow i tried it and did wake up…but for a totally diffrernt reason.
my brother was snoring the night away and i couldn’t get back to sleep

but i faintly recall ALMOST having an LD and i was saying to a DC hey im dreaming, and he replied No your not. so i didnt have one. curse you DC! :grrr:

 That must feel pretty frustrating… But I heard once you start dreaming about “talking” to DCs about lucid dreaming et cetera you are very close to actually getting a lucid dream.

Hm well that must be pretty annoying if your brother stopped you from sucessfully doing your WBTB .

Cheers

Nick

Do you go back to sleep straight away? Or do you record the dream in your dream journal first? Or do you actually get up like many of the WBTB instructions recommend?

When I used to dream journal frequently(i just remember too many to bother writing them all down) I would always write down the dream and then maybe get up for 5-10 minutes just to make sure I wasn’t in that groggy state.
