Am I getting Closer?

IN the last month i have had 2 dreams in which I realised i was dreaming, however instantly after i would wake up due to excitement. In the first i said to a friend “dont worry its just a dream” instantly i woke up. In the second it was the same dream i had another time and i told the people dont worry its a dream, but after this one the dream disappeared but instead of straight to black and waking up i got a bright pink flash of Hypnagoic imagery for about 5 seconds then woke up. Am i getting closer to not waking up? and does anyone have any tips on not waking up?

Eventually it won’t be as much of a shock to you when you realise that you are dreaming and so be less likely to wake up.

Try to stay calm, rub your hands together. Focus on something in the dream … the texture of something etc.
