Amazing way for better DR and Lucid Inducer

After just waking up about 15 minutes ago i cam up with this idea. Well you see heres what happned… It was like 4pm and i was really tired, i fell asleep on my couch with the TV on unknowingly. I was probably asleep for 3 hoursish - waking up at around 7:10 When i woke up i remembered my dreams there pretty clearly… being in an arcade with my friend hearing some kids talk about like some X championship thing. And some other random things in the arcade (seems like all my dreams are in arcades ahahah i love it) anyways when i woke up my eyes stayed closed- i recognized i had woken up but i was in this stage and area of not knowing anything what so ever. I was completely lost, this was because:

  1. i fell asleep on my couch
  2. i fell asleep at 4pm unknowingly
  3. when i woke up the tv was on
Because of these things when i woke up i had my eyes closed and was trying to figure out what was going on, Did my brother have music on? this loud? but if its morning… shouldnt i be at school? did i miss school? Do i have a TV in my room? no… This was a REALLY weird experience… i finally opened my eyes and saw i was on my couch with the TV on and i saw it read 7:10 it all came back to me then… The first thing i heard on the TV after i opened my eyes was “Welcome to Paris” which sparked back the memory, right before i woke up they were talking about (apparently they had like a giant popsicle eiffle tower) putting the last piece of the eiffle tower on. I thought that was ironic. Then it started talking about how they were hosting some like bmx like championchip X games thing and i started realizing, hey! thats what my dream was about… Then i thought, what if i rewind. I so i rewinded (but very very strangely it could only go back 15 minutes, as if the tv was changed while i was asleep but i was home alone, on the other hand though the remote was under me) anyways i rewinded to beginning and watched it and suddenly it sparked memories from my dreams, in fact i rememberd a whole nother scene from just watching and listening, (it was about baseball) I was amazed by how much just listening to that helped.

This way could be used to possibly help choose the scene of your dream, and then recognize them and become lucid! im sure similar ideas like this have been brought up audio induced lucid dream, but im just surprised by how much the TV influenced my dream. And being able to rewind and “play back” my dream. You could have your TV set on like a two hour documentary on the north pole or something and then your dream may very well end up at the north pole! This is not the first time the TV has influenced my dream, but this was pretty dramatic/

just want to know what others think about this.

Also it seems only the more “important subject” were brought into the dream, such as "Eiffle Tower, the baseball hall of fame names i heard and Paris rather than minor things such as skateboard and commercials for pointless things. it seems these things didnt catch my attention enough to be carried into my dream. I may “remember” them because i did hear it, it was just picked up by my subconsious. Everything i heard such as every commericial brought that familiar feeling to me.

immediately this post caught my attention by the title, but this is a great idea and theory… What if in many ways you could leave a small audio or TV documentary on a LDers approach on dreaming and such and in a way automatically inducing you in a LD! but the only hard part in my opinion is actually being able to go to sleep with the TV on it would be a problem for most people (well at least me). But great idea and topic well thought out and very likely is really plausible

Wait, this bit still remains a bit unclear to me: Did you get lucid or not ? Or is this all about DR only ?

Falling asleep with your TV on, or with any other source which can disturb your sleep (radio etc) has been proven to have bad effects on your sleep cycle, being regarded at by Nick Newport as “brainmush” - really like that word.

Why this worked for you is because you did WBTB unknowingly plus a sort of M-WILD attempt (Music). You woke up and went back to sleep with a source (TV) on to keep you aware.

Now, this either works well or it’s a particular case for you. In that case be sure to keep on practicing WBTB as it clearly is your method.

Cheers !
