I’m not sure if this technique works for everyone. It is recommended you already have experience with standard techniques.
Onto the subject, go to bed tired. Any sleeping arrangement can be used, but it is recommended you’re comfortable. Imagine a soft deep red dot glowing in front of your view. Then, imagine you are falling towards it. As it gets closer, you start to realise the dot is a red spiral of fire and you are falling through it. Feel the flames’ gentle heat waft over your body. The further and further you drop, the more erratic the flames burn and you can hear crackling and popping. The color of the flames also seem to be changing violently. You now have a looming feeling that the flames may burn you or you could hit the bottom, but stay in control. You are supposed to be getting excited. Now, think of your desired destination as the heat relaxes your body to sleep. Hopefully, you’ll soon find yourself lying on the ground in a dream setting. Have fun!
Remember, this doesn’t work every time. The object is to keep your mind active. However, when you need rest your minds has a habit of not staying focused. It works for me a lot.
