I seriously think we need to rename the subsections on LD4all. Even with descriptions, they are quite vague and are hard to decide where to put your post.
Ok, so whats the term for when you have a ND about Lucid dreams. To the point even where you do an RC and you are sure its a dream, but its still just a ND. You even think you are controlling things, but its all just really a ND.
BTW: this has got me thinking that there is really no such thing as an LD. We made up the term, and we think about it so much that we get dreams about lucid dreams, but they are really just ND’s about this made up thing. kinda like truman.

This occured to me too. However, as you said: “it’s still an ND”.
Obviously you can tell the difference between a pseudo-LD and a real one ^^ I think there is a difference, even if you can tell it only afterwards.
A false lucid dream is a dream, where you act as if you were lucid, but infact you aren’t. Wouldn’t that be the term? you dream about being lucid, but your conciousness is still asleep.
this could be it, couldn’t it?
im pretty sure the term is FLD (false lucid dream)
and i must say, i really hate FLDs…you wake up thinking you had an LD that didnt fade out immediately and was cool, but then thinking about it, you realize you really didnt have any control
Lucid dreams just feel different to normal ones, it’s hard to describe.
When it comes down to it, the difference is hard to describe depending on your personal experience. For me, in an actual LD I am “all there”, interacting with the environment just like I would in the real world. In a FLD, I may do things I would normally do in a LD and maybe even do some RC’s, but it is still like I am just watching what is going on.
Kind of like walking around all groggy in the morning
. There’s a reason people call it “barely conscious”. I agree it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between FLD’s and low-level LD’s.
