Anticipation kept myself from dream recall and sleep?

The night before I had my first success with WILD, I was very happy. So last night I had an alarm set for 5 hours ahead. But I could not go to sleep no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t fall asleep. I don’t know if it was anticaption for the alarm or not. But I can’t remember when I would sleep, I wake up periodically. I did multiple RCs when I was concisous but they failed. As well I had no dream recall at all. Was I just pondering to hard on lucidness? Excitement kept my mind to awake for me to fall asleep?

Eh I’ve had this… it sucks. It can happen from thinking to much or sometimes it just happens and there isn’t not much you can do. For me it usually happens when I have an alarm set. Some things that help me go to sleep are

a) try and keep your eyes open for as long as your can, this is a hit or miss thing
b) read something and every paragraph close your eyes until you aren’t forcing them shut
c) meditate :happy:
d) keeping good sleep patterns (Google can help you with this :wink:)

It happened too me again. Its probably from my irregular sleeping patterns, but it’ll be fix tonight. I’ve been trying to eat foods containing melatonin before sleep. Meditation is something I’ve been looking into but I don’t know where to start yet. Ill practice other things so they form into a habit.
