Are Dreams Affected By Sleep Apnea????

Ok i have been trying for a couple of weeks to get the hang of wild. The more im practicing it, the more im getting the hang of it ( yeay go me). It occurred to me the other day that Sleep Apnea runs in my family and im very likely to get it. So my question is and i dont think its been covered yet, but will Sleep Apnea effect my staying in a LD. For about 4 or 5 times i’ve been able to LD but only for a few seconds and once for about 1 min. Last time i tried WILD i was so very close but i woke up from a sudden jolt and my breathing shuttered. Sorry for the long post, i just figured the breathing thing is just natural and i need more practice with WILD, but can any of this be related and how would LDs be affected by Sleep Apnea if i would have it.

That imo would be just due to suddenly waking up before entering the dream.

If you develop the condition in later life and keep it under control through one of those air machines, it wouldn’t affect your LD ability. Untreated it kills your ability to sleep well and thus LD ability will be affected too. At least you know you are at risk of the condition and can take steps to protect yourself … weight and healthy living wise.

Dreams are indeed affected by our real sensations: when you go to bed hungry, you will probably dream about food, if you’re uncomfortable your dream could be less pleasant etc.
Sleep apnea might bring dreams of suffocating, so you could youse it as a dreamsign at least.
Serious point is, if it makes you sleep worse, then it could be harrmful for your LD ability; but you still have your REM phases, so the possibility to LD is still there.
My advice to you would be moogle’s: live a healthy, low-weight, exercise-happy life, and you should be fine.
