In the beginning there was two lifeless places
In the north there was an Icecold place called Nifelheim and in the south there was a very warm place called Muspelheim
and in between there was an gigantig empty space called Ginnungagap
One day the hoarfrost from Nifelheim met the warm air from Muspelheim
and then a Giant named Ymer was created
when Ymer was sleeping he started to sweat and then one male and one female creature grew up under his left arm and between his legs a son, they were they first of they “rimtusarnas”
When the hoarfrost melted a cow also came in to being the cow was called Audhumbla and Ymer got his nutrients from the 4 milkfloods that came from the cows udder
the cow licked the salt from the hoarfrostcoveredstones, the first day you could see human hair, the second day you could see the head and they third day the whole man was free from the ice
His name was Bure and he was both big and beatiful. He got a son named Bur. He married Bestla the daughter to the giant Böltorn and they got three sons
And that was they Gods Oden, Vile and Ve

Loke will come when it’s time but now I’m going to tell you how the earth was created;
Oden, Vile and Ve killed Ymer and of his body the created the earth. His blood became the sea, his meat the land,his bones the rocks, the teeth and crushed boneshards became stone and gravel. The created heaven from his brainbowl it has 4 corners and under each corner they put a Dwarf; Öster, Väster, Norr and Söder. Then they took ember and sparks from Muspelheim and some they sat on fixed places in the sky and other moved in courses.
From Ymers brain the made the clouds
Öster=East
Väster=West
Norr=North
Söder=South

A man called Mundilfare had two children so beatiful so he called the son Måne(=Moon) and the daughter Sol(=Sun)
But that made the gods angry so they sat his children in the heaven and Sol steers the wagon for the real sun and Moon steers the real Moon and it’s forms.
The giant Narve had a daughter named Natt=Night, black hair and dark skin, she was married several times but last with Delling and their son was Dag=(Day), white hair and shining.
Natt and Dag got horse and wagon and was put on the heaven for all days driving around the earth.
Natt drives first with Rimfaxe, the horse with hoarfrost in the mane, the dew every morning is the cames from that horse.
Skinfaxe with the shining mane that shines over air and earth is Dag’s horse.
They runs fast over the heaven because in the east a giantwoman is giving birth to giants in wolfshape 
and one of them is Sköll that runs after the sun and wants to devour the sun and another wolf is Hate that runs after the Moon. And first from this time we started to differ between night and day and we started to count the days and years.
As you probably know when Ragnarök comes Sköll is going to eat the Sun

JOTUNHEIM and UTGÅRD
The Earth they created is round and around it is the deep sea at the coast they giants lives in Jotunheim and there is also the castle Utgård.
Farthest out in the north close to heaven, sits a giant that is called Hräsvelg, the corpsedevourer, he has the shape of an eagle and his wingbeats creates the wind in the world.
MIDGÅRD and ASGÅRD
Oden, Vile and Ve was walking at the beach when they found two trees and out of the tree they created two humans, Oden gave they humans spirit and life, VIle gave them intelligence and movement and Ve gave them clothes.
The man was called Ask and the woman was called Embla.
In the land the gods made a defence around the humans world of Ymer’s eyelashes for protection against giants. This castle is called Midgård.
In the middle of the world they built a castle called Asgård and there lives the gods
From heaven to Earth the gods built the bridge Bifrost, the trembling road, Humans can see it’s shining colors and calls it the rainbow. The red in the bridge is flaming fire that prevents the mountaingiants to storm to heaven.
When the gods had settled down in Asgård they cam to think about that now there was worms in Ymers meat and they gods gave the worms humanshape and humanintelligence and that was how thet dwarfs was created that lives in the earth and the stones.

YGGDRASIL
There is many holy places in Asgård and Midgård but the mis holy thing is the ash Yggdrasil, biggest of all trees, the branches is spreading over the whole world and reaches to heaven. The tree grows thanks too three deep roots.
One goes under Asgård, the other goes under Jotunheim and the third goes over the realm of the dead in Nifelheim.
Under each root there there is a well, Hvergelmer lies undet the root that goes to “rimtursarna”, under Jotunheim is Mimer’s well filled with wisdom and knowledge, under the third root that reaches to heaven(Asgård) is the holy well called Urd’s well and there they gods meet everyday for creating justice. There lives also Urd, Verdandi and Skuld, godesses of past, present and future, also called “nornor” and it is them who decides humans destinys. When a child is born “nornorna” decides lives good and bad for it.
“Nornorna” takes every day with the whit mud from Urd’s well and pours it over the tree so it won’t die.
It is many things that tries to destroy the tree. Four deers runs at the trees branches and eats the young sprouts and the dragon Nidhögg gnaws on the root. In the top of the tree sits an eagle that knows many things and between his eyes a hawk called Vedrfolner(him who his bleched bi wind and weather). Up and down at the stam the squirrel Ratatosk runs and tells messages between the eagle and dragon when they eagle and drgon quarrel.
But eternal green the ash Yggdrasil stands over Urd’s well and they dew that falls from the leaves is called honeydew and from that the bees live.

Well, I have borrowed some books on the library and looked on the Internet so I don’t say anything wrong.
The swedish weekdays come from the scandinavian mythology

torsdag=thursday

tisdag is tyrs dag, Tyr is a wargod and he has only one hand the other a wolf ate.
onsdag is Odens dag, Oden rules over the gods and he has only one eye, he has two ravens named Hugin and Munin that is his spies in the world
torsdag is Tors dag, Tor is a thundergod and he fights againts the giants and he owns a hammer called Mjölner, and that hammer is a symbol for the scandinavian mythology
fredag is Friggs dag, Frigg is married to Oden
it’s the same with the dutch names for the weeks Thanks, i never knew where those names came from, exept thursday.

the only one is saturday, where did that come from?
saturday= saturn day you know a god from roman mythology and a planet.
but in sweden
lördag= lögar dag, löga is an old word for bath or cleaning yourself
and måndag is of course the moons day
and söndag is the suns day
