I don’t think there is an auto-suggestion topic on it’s own.
But it has been mentioned in the Remembering dreams topic, MILD topic and probably WBTB topic too.
I think our subconscious can tap into our internal body clock
Couldn’t agree more Moogle. I can count on the fact that I’ll wake up between three and four in the morning, and six, and finally seven - fifteen minutes before my alarm goes off. It’s amazing what your subconscious can do when you attempt to program it.
Mmmm, I’ve tried doing that before and can’t. I wake up when I’m ready to wake up, and not before, and it’s totally irregular. (If someone forces me awake before I’m ready, I can barely stand up for an hour and my head’s still mostly in dreamland, lol.)
My parents have to wake me up when I need to get up early. I can’t bring myself to use an alarm clock… too painful. Fortunately, though, my lifestyle allows me to sleep in for several hours most days.
I have found that excessive sleep or an altered sleep schedule seems to ‘throw off’ my body clock and I won’t awaken just before my alarm goes off. Maybe if you went to bed at the same time every night, and didn’t sleep in (ie woke up at the same time as well) you’d probably find your body clock more reliable.
I’ve done that before, with 4am too. I didn’t really believe I could do it at first. All I thought was “wish I could get up at 4 without anyone having to get me up.” When I looked up at the clock and saw what time it was, I was like “Woah…” and fell back asleep.
