Bad B6 Experiences

Have any of you tried to use the supplement Vitamin B6 and feel really sick or get almost no sleep? Ive used it in the past before alot and had some sucessful times but last night was horrible for me being the first time in a while i took them again. My dreams were more vivid but i slept about every other 30 minutes and felt restless. So just wondering if thats not just with me.

I did use B6, and still do sometimes, not on a regular basis. I usually take 100mg pills, and tried 3-4 times 200mg.

Maybe you took too much at once. Sometimes, after using B6, I do feel “sore throat”, little fever-like symptoms and bad taste in my mouth (some sort of acid secretion). But this is not most of the the time. It usually occurs if I wake up after about 3 to 4.5 hours of sleep.

Hmm… come to think of it… these last two days I’ve been eating a lot more stuff with B6 in it in hopes that my dreams will become vivider (is that a word?). It has in return made me stay up until at least twelve o’ clock, last night it was 1:44 when I started feeling a little tired. Good thing: I did get what might have been my first lucid dream. I forgot almost everything about it except an image of a basketball and the fact that it was something like 2 seconds long. My thoughts in there were “Hey! I’m dreaming! This is a dream! Muahahaha-”.

I don’t think vitamin B6 helps me very much.

i agree…i think people made it up to make us fail

B6 MAKES ME RESTLESS TOO! eeeeeeee…bad experiences, especially one at a hotel. I got no sleep.

I haven’t noticed that effect, but I have tried eating vitamin B a few times to sleep better or get better dreams. I have, without exception, gotten nightmares. The nightmares have had unusually strong physical influences too, with sweating etc.

Well, if you are trying to make your dreams more vivid, try melatonin. I’ve tryed melatonin a few times, and it actually worked. I ended up having a crystal clear lucid dream. It was so beautiful. Melatonin makes you sleepy so I recommend taking it about 45 min before you go to bed.

Well b6 is in powerade so I am guessing it has some sort of energy in it.

isnt melatonin something our brain produces?

Yeah.

There are ways to regulate our melatonin production by doing this - if linking to other sites is forbidden, I apologize in advance.

Yes, melatonin is naturally released in your brain, however if you increase the amount of melatonin it will most likely increase vividness, and help sleeping.

It’s said also that melatonin stops being produced in the brain around the age of 25… which is one of the causes of aging, lol.

i know we’re ggetting off the topic now but i know that melatonin is produced by the pineal gland and so is DMT. These two chemicals are claimed to be different but share the same purpose. So why is DMT highly illegal and cuase different and much stronger side affects than melatonin would?

Because… it alters your state of mind that stores can’t usually sell, unlike alcohol.

after reading a few posts about suppliments on here, i figured i’d give it a try. i stopped by the supermarket on the way home and picked up a bottle of melatonin, and a bottle of b6 vitamins.

the melatonin pills have 3mg melatonin, 10mg b6, and 63mg calcium. the b6 pills have 100mg b6.

at 8:53am, i took one of each (i sleep days, graveyard shift.) i put on my headphones and tossed on a half hour of delta binaurals.

at 10:15am i sat back up, wondering where the last hour of time had gone. one effect was prominent, when i closed my eyes, time didn’t really seem to matter all that much. by about 11:30am i felt like i could probably sleep if i tried, though i felt really ‘messed up,’ my brain was tired, but my body was still being a pain in the butt.

the entire time i was in bed, i was restless, i couldn’t get into a comfortable position. my mind knew that i really wanted and needed to sleep, but my body would not allow me to get to a point where i could fall asleep. at 6pm, my alarm went off, i got up and used the restroom, and went back to bed. it’s 7pm now, i’m officially up, and i feel utterly exhausted.

my body is in a lot of pain and discomfort, i don’t recall having any dreams, much less even really being able to fall asleep.

i’m not sure if it’s the melatonin and the fact that i sleep during the day (though i do have quite the setup going on to keep the room as dark as possible,) or the b6, or the combination of the two, or what. i’m always open to experiment more with something, but i think tomorrow i’m just going to meditate and pass out normally, and next time i’m just going to try the melatonin by itself.

i mean, sheesh, i’m really hurting. this isn’t very pleasant at all. i’ve had less discomforting hangovers.

maybe it works for some people, and doesn’t for others.

I also picked up a 3mg bottle of melatonin and the past few days ive used it with 200m of b6 and its a sucess. Alot of vivid dreams and my dream recall definatly got better…im also able to sleep a full night without waking up. Thanks for the sugesstions
