Bad Mornings!

This morning… Just after a nice dream i woke up! My clock didnt ring this time -_- i had all the memory of my dream actually … and my mom entered my bedroom, while i was talking to her i was losing my memory about the dream… when i was ready to record it on my DJ i was like “OMG ! What i dreamed about!!?” I lost the dream, i was so decepointed because this kind of thing already happened to me so i was kind of used to it lol. Hopefully… All the day some little piece of memories were coming back in my mind so at least i have more than 2 sentences to write ^^
I created this topic to know if this already happened to you!

Sometimes dream do that, for example, in this morning, after i already writed my dreams, i started to get ready to leave house, i stopped that 2 times in order to note additional things wich i renembered. Still, do not count on that ! If you’re lucky once that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t note them anymore…

I had a bad morning in which I never fell asleep during WBTB and ended up staying awake for 3 hours… :yawn:

But sometimes there’s good mornings :happy: actually this morning i wrote about like 5 dreams lol I like this kind of mornings Haha! <3

I know what you mean! I can usually get to sleep within 10 minutes, but since I have been trying WBTB, I can stay up for hours :sad:

I have problems too, whith the recall, the problem is with the alarm… I need wake up early, but when the alarm sounds I lose the memories :sad: , but when I don’t use the alarm I can remember, any tips? :help:

I don’t know if this will help you, since it is dependent on the location of your bedroom in your house. What I normally use in order to wake up early enough on a school day is I keep my curtains wide open as I fall asleep. That way, when the sun shines in in the morning, it will hit my eyelids and tell my brain that it is morning and it is time to wake up.

Since we are in summer at the moment (at least if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere) it should be reliable, since the sun rises quite early. If your bedroom is in a part of the house where the sun doesn’t hit, this might not work for you. My bedroom is at the front of the house and that is where the sun hits.

If you are scared of the dark, for example you are scared that something will look in at you through your window, or if there is a streetlight on outside, that may pose a problem in terms of actually falling asleep, but hopefully you will be able to overcome that hurdle :content:

Heh, quite a few days in my DJ are empty, because those are the days in which my parent(s) bother me and make me forget. :razz:

What i do, and it worked for me everytime since i knew myself, when i wake up and renember a dream, i try to “dig” untill i fiind the beggining, even if i can’t find the beggining, i dig as far as i can, and so i keep the most distant memory in my head untill i write it down. What i noticed it happens is if i renember the most distant memory of the dream than the brain renembers the connections. I do not know if this is the logical explanation, but the technique itself works for me. Try to renember the beggining of the dream and keep it in mind, don’t forget it, not even for a second, or you risk loosing your whole dream.

To have that first thought in your head “what was that dream i had last night” is like trying to remember someone’s name you’ve forget (its on the tip of my tongue)if you just relax and don’t try to hard to remember it ,it comes to u naturally (ah yes that’s his name,it was just on the tip of my tongue)…also, to think you cant remember a dream is halfway to remembering it , i go through things in my head to jog my memory, like were was i, was a person there, do i remember any colors,etc etc etc , once your memory gets jogged a little that dream all falls into place, its now not on the tip of your tongue,hope u understand,don’t think to much and rest will follow
