Better dreaming in winter?

Now that winter is approaching (at least for us in the Northern Hemisphere), I find myself thinking more about dreaming and LDs. Not a mystery since winter is associated with sleeping and hibernating.

Anyone else having the same experience? Anyone have better or more frequent dreams in winter?

well i don’t know, i only know my DR’s slacking off again:’(
got to stick with my 3rd eye practices now:P
but yea, i got on here at end summer/start of fall so, i guess it might be true for me

No , but has got better sleep in the winter , this is my first winterof lding …

points to LD chart in profile I slept the best EVER last month, not necessarily winter but the weather here in Oregon switched from the usual 80’s to 60’s and rain like all month. I was waking up with alot of energy, was having Lucid dreams, and or vivid dreams.

it must be a natural thing with Humans. How do the trees know? They turn that fall color well before the cold hits, animals begin to get ready for hibernation every year same time, I guess Humans sleep better. A natural thing is my theory.

Hm, I don’t know. Since humans tend to get tired much more easily in winter (or on really cloudy days) I guess it would mena more sleep.

More sleep = More REM = More chances at LDing/LDing. :content:

I tend to agree with this assertion. I’m hesitant to believe that it’s an instinctual, seasonal process that we all naturally experience throughout the year, but rather, it just seems that cold weather produces better dreams overall. I can’t even remember the number of times that I’ve complained about the summer heat preventing me from getting to sleep as quickly as I’d like, and then somehow being responsible for unpleasant dreams when I do manage to doze off. It’s easier to warm up when it’s cold, than it is to cool down when it’s hot, and just heat seems to have very negative effects on dreaming.

Unfortunately, we’re heading towards summer down here right now (just a month and a half to go). I’m desperately looking forward to higher temps during the day and in the mornings, but I know it’s going to cause havoc with my sleeping routine. Ah well, maybe this time I’ll find a way to cope with it. Or I could just move to the northern hemisphere for a few months. That wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

You could move in with me.
