Book - "Lucid Dreaming On Command"

I’ve found a book on Amazon called “Lucid Dreaming On Command”, which apparently involves some new technique and/or variation on WILD and such.

Before I got it, I was just wondering if anyone read it or tried it. I’ve read so many variations of LDing literature that I’m not really expecting much from it. Opinions?

I didn’t read it and I can not judge the book but whatever book you will read you have to keep in mind that there is no universal truth or to better say technique for 2 different persons.

I am for learning as much as possible because that will only prepare you more for the experience but one makes mistake if thinks that what he will read that it will work the same way as stated in the writing. And that is what most of the dreamers do, they read somewhere about something and they follow all the steps and they say that they did everything right but it still doesn’t work and YES they did everything right but the right thing for the person that was writhing the guide or for your situation the book.

Like I said learn as much as you can but the subject is to subjective and personal to leave it as it is and expect it to work…

There’s always some special ingredient missing in every technique to work and that is personalization of the one.

Good luck! :content:

I have been following LDing for about 8 years now. Read most of the relevant books. Been active on numerous other forums.

I can’t say that I know a single person who has learned to LD on demand via mental training and techniques. I can say that I know quite a few people who have learned to LD on demand leveraging different LD supps, brainwave entrainment methods and the like.

I do know a few “natural” LDers, but I am not including them in the mix here.

I also tend to agree that learning is good in general. But you also want to be sensitive to your individuality. Everyone is indeed a bit different and allowing your natural skills to come out, recognizing what works for you … is really the best long term strategy.

I’ve learned it with time, no supplements or brainwave sounds and such things. I did try brainwave sounds but didn’t do anything special for me so I didn’t use them after that.

Lucid dreaming is not something you force or want now and you just achieve it. Of course you can but again you are lacking the quality of the experience which should teach you something at the end. It’s the way of living because not being lucid in waking life it’s hard to be lucid in dreams…

It seems to me that the implications of the title are “learn to LD and succeed each and every time you try”. If you succeed every time you try, then that’s awesome (and I mean that honestly, not in a patronizing way).

Point is, I would be cautious about a book that made such grandiose claims. There is no easy solution. It takes time and patience and lots of trial and error.

True that, but to be honest I never thought about the title in that way. Your last sentence is something I agree with you completely and maybe it’s just not the write combination of the words for the title.
