Born to be lucid?

Lucid dreams are fun and interesting, yes. But sometimes it feels a bit weird how people make such a big deal out of them… maybe 'cause I’ve had lucid dreams since I was 9 years, and I keep on having them like all the time, without even trying. I’m not trying to brag, that I’m such a “good dreamer” or something XD I’m just wondering, how come, that not everyone just naturally have lucid dreams? :eh:
During the years I’ve learned new “tricks” that I can do in lucid dreams - maybe weird, but the first thing I learned was how to fly. Maybe 'cause it reminds a lot of swimming? Well, nowadays I can do all kinds of things in dreams, basically rule the whole story of them if I want to, but sometimes I find it funnier to just let things happen without intervening (unless it’s a nightmare  )
So… my point was… well, there was no real point, I’m just interested to know if there’s others who share my experience of randomly seeing lucid dreams

It’s sad to say, but people do naturally have lucid dreams in their young age (or at least most people I know did); it’s just, dreams are easy to forget, and no one tells us to pay attention to them, nor explains their importance or the fact that being lucid in them is indeed a natural thing: in fact, most people consider dreams to be given, unchangeable, maybe even pointless activity of the nocturnal brain, and this way they don’t even consider the remote possibility of interacting with them. Dreams become almost hated for most in an old age, giving us recurring nightmares (since they aren’t interpreted and their cause solved) and dreams of going to work even before waking up.

Not to mention it’s no one important’s interest to reveal the possibility to us. What would we buy anymore of all that useless junk if everyone could access the world of his/her wildest fantasies every night, at will? This is one of the important truths that are best kept hidden for the lot that counts, thus stays (mostly) hidden.

That was very well said!  I think too, that lucid dreams actually are natural, but just like you said… yeah, you said it so wisely that I’m not going to try to repeat that  Maybe one reason why I haven’t lost the ability to remember & control dreams is that I had a little bit unusual upbringing, I guess… I was always encouraged to be creative and use my imagination…
Btw, I just woke up from a wonderful dream where I was on a tropical beach with loads of friends, YAY! Your theory is now proved: I don’t need to buy a trip to the south (it’s a horribly cold winter here) and travel agency doesn’t get money, what a shame, muhahahah

I really like these comments:

tosxyChor: you summed up a lot of hours of thought that i’ve had with that concise statement…sometimes it’s so weird, how fruitful and life changing LDs can be and the world outside is BUY! BUY! BUY!

and Kansine, yes, I do believe you just saved a good bit of money

I like this topic. :content: Thanks for sharing your thoughts everyone.

My drive to want to perservere in learning to Lucid Dream has faded a bit latey, but for some reason, reading this topic has inspired me again. Thank you.

ahhhhhhhhhhh! that’s a good feeling! for me, WBTBs are the only method that help me induce LDs (so far), so without pursuing the method that worked for me, i don’t get such great results. and i gotta commit to it to, sometimes i wake up real quick and i’m like alright i got this, back to sleep! but i really have to a) get out of bed and b) stay out of bed for a while. i guess what i’m saying is stick with the horse that got you there (until you’re expert lucid dreamer, like i’m sure all of us here will be soon, then pick your method at will!). glad to hear you’re getting back into it!

agree’d. in this age people are soo rushed to do things for money (a branch of evil) and some kind of spotlight etc, that the gems of serenity are always in their blindspot. this keeps LD ours, the ability to use knowledge, awareness, and emotion, and from these my friends expand and create things, like dreams. and how those three (may be more depending on how much you shatter the whole) elements apply to the dream world, they also apply to waking life and vise versa. LDing really is for that person thats so drawn to the answer (ofcoarse at the same time we know not to seek) so we must get in that matrix thats humming along all day, although its not untill night time when that beautiful woman lends us her hand to guide us into a dream, weather we find and grab that hand in marriage is up to us. as for the small number of LDers, yes your probably right and yes our LD ability is a gravitational marvel, BUT never discriminate because all the elite+ athletes, painters, musicians that dont know about LDing own a physical peice of that esoteric wonder (something WE can envy and aspire to get in WL) of the unknown. and you better believe their like a blink away from discovering LD, while the blind have a much longer journey ahead of them lol.

Kansine, i look under your name and see 1680, that is a glorious number you weild. from what i gather (and sorta assume) you are very pure in nature, your childness still apart of you alowing you easy access. with all your lucid exercise your mind during the day must be very cool to be in.

note: i know ive only had one short LD “so how would he even know?” but i know and feel that the knowledge ive gathered in seclusion through WL was the precursor to LDing…i just need to get in there more because i feel like i know how to fly and do all that stuff already. so my lucid experience is previously eclipsed, and even though this obstruction appears lightly placed over my third eye, i must use all my will and push this circle to the side like a shotput. peace.

eloquent. purposeful. a pleasure to read
