Can 'Reading texts' reality check fail ?

We all know about the reading texts reality check.I prefer this one coz there are texts all around us and its easy to remember when you see a text, personally I prefer this one.

I’ve had 1 lucid dream till now recently had a second one but it ended abruptly the moment I said to myself ‘Myabe this is a dream’ ,No I wasn’t excited I just woke up.

Now My question is, When I read a text in waking life.It goes into my memory.Since it is a reality check I have to check whether its the same text I read seconds before so when I am going to read for the second time My mind expects the text to be there that I read before.
For e.g I read DREAM for the first time now the word DREAM goes into my memory when I check again my mind expects the word DREAM to be there.

Now consider Dream state.
I read the word DREAM.I look somewhere else I look back again. My mind expects the word DREAM to be there.Since it is a dream state is there a possibility that when I check again I will see the word DREAM coz my mind expects it to be there? can the reality check fail?

I’m sorry If I sound confusing but I hope you try to understand. What I’m trying to say is in Dream state our mind might create objects that we expect.I am not an expert at Lucid Dreaming, hardly had one but I have read dozens of articles and a book on it.I’ve read that if you want to go to some place via teleportation you just open and door and expect the place you want to go behind that door, similarly if you want some some person in your dream you expect them to be there at a certain place and they will be there, same with this texts reality checks.

Looking at texts is quite a reliable Reality check but I just wanna know If it can fail? Has Anyone failed at Texts Reality check in dreams and some other reality checks has worked?

In my experience, although i don’t use this as a person reality check- i have noticed even though you EXPECT something to be there, sometimes it isnt. The dream world is a very interesting, strange world and has no “rules” to it. Im sure though you’ve done some research and found out and heard alot “You can do anything in a dream” or “In a dream, anything can happen” which is true, but it is stereotyped into your head so when your in the dream, if “anything can happen” and since youve heard that so much, it makes it more likely that things such as text can change- if that makes sense

And i would say yes, it CAN fail, but when you are expecting things to be there- it increases the odds of them being there. This is actually a pretty good technique for making things to appear. Say you wanted like a car in your dream- then you can firmly say out loud “there is a car behind me!” and then you expect the car to be there and often times it is. My favorite RC is plugging your nose and trying to breath through it, as you should always be able to try this- while reading text- sometimes you wont see any text in your dream situation. Plugging your nose can be very reliable. The pinching yourself RC does not always work as sometimes you will feel some sort of pain in the dream! Overall though if the text RC works for you, then keep at it
-hope this helped

Of course it can fail. It’s happen to me countless times. When people read that text changes in dreams, then while they’re RCing in their dream they expect it to be true, that the text will change, so it does. But for me, I experimented, I thought about it being the same, expected it to be the same, and it turns out the exact same text.

I was tricked a few times, but I had back up RCs. So I suggest you don’t rely too heavily on one specific RC. The most reliable RC I’d say is to think if everything makes sense, if you remember waking up.

yes it failed i usually forgot to do a RC so i write RC at my palm so when i see my hand i do a text RC and when my first LD ended (only 2 min) i was False Awake then i did text RC it failed
