Last night I tried FILD and had some degree of success, falling into dreams almost instantly.
I had minor HH and felt like I was going into SP, but instead I experienced multiple FAs in a row. During the first FA, I wanted to sit up and do a reality check, but I found that I couldn’t move my dream body or my real one! My arms seemed locked in place.
This morning, I tried again. In a similar fashion, I transitioned directly into a dream and was, this time, aware that I was dreaming. When I went to move around, though, I was once again locked in place. I tried moving my dream body, but my real body moved instead, and I woke up.
Anyone have any clue why this happened, or how to solve it?
You might have been in the dream but aware of your physical body which was paralyzed. One thing that can cause this, I believe, is that you are trying to use your muscles to move your body and sometimes that can end with you actually trying to use your muscles. Maybe you can try at first using your imgination to move, just imagine you are moving and feeling stuff insead of trying to “force” movement. I have little experience with FILD, but I’ve been in this annoying state before! I’ve had this problem mostly when I’m sort of at the border between worlds… maybe you can start by imagining your hand is floating up, as if the force were external. I hope I was able to make some sense
