I cant for the life of me, remember my dreams, i wake up and think about what just happend, whith my dd right beside me, and still nothing, im scared i might had LD’s without knowing it. Are there any tips u can give me to remember my dreams better?
It’s unlikely that you had an LD and didn’t remember it. They are usually very unforgettable.
If you can’t remember a dream, try getting some impression about what the dream may have been: about school, perhaps some emotion you felt like fear or anger. Just keep focusing on the impressions and the recall will improve.
I really have to work for it sometimes. For instance, this morning I woke up twice: once after my dream, remembering it perfectly and once a little later, remembering nothing. I thought in the shower about how I felt, then tried to repeat “I will remember my dream easily and clearly” over and over while thinking about the feeling, or if you don’t have any feeling, that’s fine, too. After a few minutes, I remembered it.
Wolf: Remember I said it’s “unlikely” you forgot an LD. And having been around a while I don’t remember seeing a whole lot of threads about “forgetting LDs”. Not like threads about failed Reality Checks.
Now we know that everyone dreams a lot every night. So if we don’t remember our dreams, we still know we had them. But how can you know that you forgot an LD? Don’t you have to remember it to know that you forgot it, in which case you haven’t forgotten it.
Even though I’m new at this whenever I first wake up after having a ND I usualy have to wait for two hours or so before I can really remember everything from ND, so my advice would be just wait untill you wake up more and then try to remember. (Works for me)
It’s good that you have a DJ. How’s your recall normally? Fragments, or whole dreams? How long have you had it for? (Sorry for so many questions. )
My dream recall normally is suuuper bad, but everyonce and a while i can remember a whole dream, i usualy dont remember just fragments, i have had bad dream recall for as long as i can remember
Yeah, it’ll build your motivation up a bit. You eventually remember more of your dreams, which will make you want to show off your improvement, which will make your brain switch on Dreameh Mode!
There are a lot of mornings when I wake up and I can’t remember anything, either. For me, at least, it’s best to try it out over weekends when I can wake up natually. Even then I may think I don’t remember anything for a moment.
Then I lay in bed for half an hour.
It’s a good way to keep dreams from fading. I’ll start out with an image of a dream in my mind, then all of a sudden I’ll remember whatever just happened before that, or after that, and there may be a whole sequence. Then, I’ll start writing it all down, and during that process I’ll remember even more things that happened which I never thought I would have remembered. The amazing part is, I may spend an hour writing down my dreams, when at first I thought I would get nothing. There’s never enough time for this during the week, unfortunatley.
