Im not exactly sure where to post this but anyways, when im lucid in my dreams i will sometimes try to check my reality on my cell phone but the screen keeps changing modes on me and i can never completly check my reality with it. I was just wondering if other people have had similar experiences with that or any other electronic device and it not working properly. thanks

Electronics often don’t work as they should. And it can get weird. I trie to lower the volume on a stereo, because it was late and poeple were sleeping. But each time i turned it, in either direction, the volume increased.
And, a computer in a dream can do strange things. I believe I have a better understanding of how older generations feel about real life computers after trying to use them in dreams. Try it yourself in a lucid dream!
What works in a dream, is a personal thing. It is different for everybody. In some people’s dreams, light switches doesn’t work, while they work perfectly in other people’s dreams. I have seen some strange things displayed on my phone in my dreams and even gotten lucid from that. 
I used a cellphone in a dream yesterday. I don’t use any cellphone IRL. I watched some music video. and could control the volume even though it was a little weird. I should have realised I was dreaming, I even had a deliberately increased awareness and thought about how I was going to be lucid when I got home. So. To the extent I used the cellphone, it worked, I used it for talking a little earlier also.
