Edit: Did a lot of reading, pretty much understand LD, OBE and AP, except it seems undecided if LD and AP could be the same thing, or closely related.

I beleive that APs are a form of WILD, in which you enter a dreamscene and your body is just a dormant DC.
I agree with Puffycloud, its kind of like you expect to see your body there so you do, like incubating a dream because you are expecting what you are about to see if that makes sence.
