Distractions got in my way of LD, what do you suggest?

To sum it up simply, I started to get into LD’s about a year and a half ago. I have had about 3 in my life, 2 during last summer and one prior to that. Now, This entire past year down at college I didn’t have a single one. I was caught up with so much work and didn’t really have a whole lot of spare time. Yes, I am a physics major! But regardless, I have been trying to really get back into it these past couple months and keep my DJ and doing RC’s but still no luck yet. I also from last summer have some vitamin B6 left. What do you all suggest me to do to try to get my first LD for the year? I also have been trying MILD and WILD. Any help would be much appreciated I just want to be able to enjoy the absolute wonders and excitement of something we all do every night. It’s just simply amazing and incredible and I can’t wait to have one again. I really want to get myself to the point to have LD’s very frequently but that will come with time… slow and steady.

Things to do if you are caught up in work and don’t have too much time:

  1. I suggest doing the DJ most days if not everyday.
  2. Always using MILD technique just before bed.
  3. Try a self hypnosis before bed also.

Things to do in addition to the ones above if you have the time:

  1. Set an alarm 5 hours after you go to sleep and either use a WILD, MILD or WBTB.
  2. Figure out which method is best suited to you and your lifestyle.
  3. RC all the time when you are in waking life.
  4. Find some DS that remind you when you are dreaming and perform a RC.
 Every time you wake up perform a RC to prevent a FA.
  5. Read over your DJ to get a common theme for your dreams + hopefully increase DR.
  6. Engage in activities based around LD and fill your brain with information about it.

Hope I helped and tell me which ones you are going to do

yeah everything bean head says makes absolute sense. also try not to get frustrated at yourself as you will find this will carry into your dreams thus making it harder to become lucid or maintain lucidity, especially if you get too excited when you become lucid. Just know that you can do it, and one will come along soon enough, once it does you’ll have plenty more to follow

This, personally, is the best advice ever for lucid dreamers. I learned it by myself over the years, the hard way  I found that if I go to bed in a “frustratable” state of mind (meaning if I don’t get lucid I’ll get frustrated), the mindstate is a huge obstacle to getting lucid. A “don’t worry, be happy” way of life is much better . Didn’t get lucid in a long time? Well, start enjoying your ND’s as well.
