DJ Issues

Recently, when I wake up in the morning, I’m finding it difficult to try and focus my thoughts/dreams, since the second I wake up I want to get out of bed and start the day. The rest of the day, I kick myself and wish that I had written in my dream journal. I think the main problem is that I don’t want to write so much. However, I find that writing things down is, for me, the best way to remember things. If I don’t want to write down everything, what should I record besides the key plot points? Moods? Colours? Dialogue?

Or do I just need to really focus and write everything, no matter what?
Thanks!

It would probably be best to just right everything down right away, but if you really can’t convince yourself to do so so early in the morning then you could try shorthand. I suggest a voive recoding though and you can transcribe it later.

Hmm… You could write down small things that jog your memory. Like memorizing a code (3 donkeys, 5 bee hives, 4 alligators). If you had a dream where an elevator went sideways and it hit a pink elephant, you could draw.

Thanks, I’ll try shorthand and transcribe it on the computer later (maybe I’ll still write the more important ones down though).
