it is mentioned in many many topics that ALL people dream.well how about blind people.if they do can dream .then LD will give them back the plesure of seeing .and a huge moral suporte to continue there lives.and by blind people i mean those who once could see but now they cant.
i think even people that has never seen before can dream, but probably the view isn’t there (or maybe they could? who knows) so they would dream about sounds and feelings
for people who have seen before i think that yes they can see in dreams
This is the craziest question ever. So epic though. lmfao I believe a few internetz is in order for u.
Oh yeah and youtube.com/watch?v=t348e24vDyA
As a matter of fact they do, and if I remember correctly, they (sometimes?) can see too, but everything will be far from reality. It’s just what their mind thinks the world looks like.
Edit: I rofl’ed at the answer above me
actualy am a big fan of LMFAO
I saw a tv show about this, if they never did have sight they just have dreams about touch and hearing (how they feel in RL). However, if they could see they imagine in their heads (and dreams) that the world looks perfect and they get used to that. So that then when some blind people get their sight back they get really depressed. I forget what the show was called though.
Everyone dreams. I guess, for people that are born blind, they see whatever they imagine people/places to look like, and for those that became blind, they draw on memories. The same with deaf people and sound. Good question!
I would imagine, but like others say, what whould their vision be? would it be fairly accurate or not? and how could they do a RC? probably just a nose pinch one. And would their view of life be how we see it or would it just be random nonsense that changes every other dream?
we should ask a blind man (woman)
Exactly my thoughts ghanamhaithem, who else would be better to ask?
In other research, this site isn’t a professional paper or anything but it sounds legit.

According to Stephen LaBerge, Ph.D., yes, they do dream, they just use their other senses.
All blind people do dream, people that have gone blind i think can also see during dreams but people that were born blind can’t, don’t take my word for it i’m no expert.
Almost everything on this planet with a brain dreams. It probably has some function along the lines of brain maintenance, like sleep, even if it still remains partly a mystery. I think the question isn’t whether they dream or not, but what they dream.
I’ve also read of blind people having NDEs and seeing in them. If they are a genuine experience then anything goes, but if they’re just the greatest hallucination a brain is capable of having, that should hint at the fact that the blind at least can see in dreams.
My brother is blind and dreams too. In sounds and feelings. He has an incredibly strong dream recall, and dreams are really vivid to him.
Dreams are a projection of the thoughts of your subconscious in 3D. Everything you see, is a mixture of all your memories and thoughts, and blind people have them too.
Which is why people who became blind later on, but still know what it is too see, can see in their dreams. You don’t physically use your eyes in dreams either.
Really interesting topic, i think that blind people dream but they won’t see anything. Instead they would just hear the dream, and feel it too.
