Do Lucid Dreams Get Interesting?

So far i just had my second LD last night and i have realized that none of them have been very interesting. My first one was kind of shady and boring (not just the dream but how it felt going through it). My second one was a lot more colorfull and stable and lasted longer but it was also vary bland. I hear and read about people have lucid dreams where its the most wonderfull experience in the world but all mine have been boring. Also i havent realy tried to do much in my dreams so maybe thats the problem. Usually the first thing i do is walk around exploring my home or street while lucid. So far i have only tried walking through doors and turning invisible. Maybe i should try to fly or do something more fun. But im still wondering if thats the problem or is there something wrong and if this happened to any of you. Thanks.

I know exactly what you mean. My first four or five lucid dreams, I basicly realized I was lucid, had a few seconds to look around me, everything had seemed to pause and wait for my reaction or something. But then after that I became non-lucid or woke-up. But then I had a good lucid dream where I started to interact with my dream characters for the first time. And I also pushed a random person because I knew there was no rules in my dream. No consiquences. My last lucid dream was about a month ago and it was by far my best. I had a full conversation with someone, and it came in crystal clear. The first few times I talked to people in lucid dreams, it was very hard to hear them, it was kind of hazy, like they were far away. I say stick to it, the more practice you get with them, the more you will have control of yourself. Just up to you to make things happen I guess.

Oh, by the way. Are you a (hed)p.e. fan? (hed)p.e. is one of my favorite live bands. I was really let down by their last album and the direction the band went in, but oh well.

Try using your powers, like flying, running really fast etc.

Or maybe interact with your DC’s (fight, talk, whatever)

Go somewhere more iteressting (it’s a dream, so you can go anywhere, real, made up or perhaps a place that’s just plain crazy).

My first LDs was quite boring as well. In one of them I actually decided to go back to bed, and wake up (it sounds backwards, but the LD started as a FA), because it was so boring to be lucid. I tried to fly and everything, but nothing worked.

I didn’t think of talking to the DCs that were in it, but in a LD soon after I talked with a DC for the first time. I taunted her and said she was just a character in a dream. She yelled back at me, calling me a crazy moron or something

So… well… my point is… I dunno.

My first lucid dreams were pretty short and boring, plus I didn’t even have enough control to spin real fast or fly. But the longer I kept at it, the better the dreams got, and the more control I found I had.
Its just a matter of time before you start experiencing the really super cool LDs

Thanks. But another thing i have noticed is whenever i become lucid its not because of a technique. My first one started with me getting chased by dinosaurs but then in my dream i realized that dinosaurs are dead and i was lucid. I got bored and frustrated of doing techniques so i kinda quit trying to be lucid for the past 2 weeks and out of no where i have another LD. Also all my LDs have lasted about 30 to around 40 minutes. But nothing good happens in them. Ill start doing techniques again.

To downward~spiral: Sorry no. Ive never heard of them.

Boring 30-40 mins lds?Kinda hard to believe mainly cuz lucid and boring hardly matches togheter.
I understand they can be blurry or with low control level but in 30 minutes theres a lot of time to fix that.
I cant say for sure but maybe for some ppl lds are just no fun? Some people go on their feet miles and miles to some sanctuary and call it most wondefull experience of their lifes or attend maths classes and are thrilled while others would die of boredom there.
I personally met few people who had their lds spontanously and quite often but didnt see big deal in it while for me even a short stroll on a dream street is something that stirs my emotions beyond imagination.
I wish you feel it too, maybe browsing through the forum and reading topics like “fav things to do in lds” would help?
good luck

Lucid dreams are really as good as you make them. Once you learn to gain more control over your environment things begin to get much more interesting. Obviously you can fly, but you can also learn to teleport yourself anywhere you would like to go. You can materialise people you would like to meet, go back in time and visit a city from a different century or give yourself physical attributes which you may not possess in real life. The world (and beyond) is literally your oyster, but to gain this kind of control takes practice. A good way to proceed is just to learn control in small steps. Set yourself one goal to achieve each time you have a lucid dream, for instance - spinning to change your dream landscape into something more interesting. If you believe this will work it will. Stating out loud what you wish to happen is also very effective within a dream. It’s the intent and belief which gives you control, but it needs consistent practice.

Lucid dreams can become one of the most fascinating experiences in your life. There is almost nothing you can’t do in a dream. I would give up a limb before I would give up my lucid dreams.
So yes they do get better. You just have to get your dream legs. You have to let go of your real life expectations, rules and laws as none of them have any meaning in your dreams. From there just let your creative self out of the cage. The possibilities are endless!

My first ld was kinda of dark in the sense of not having too much light since it was by night but surprisingly i managed to float and transform DCs.
