If your a football fan, then I’m sure you can understand that there is nothing better than going through defenders, using incredible dribbling skills, swift speed, and finally scoring that beautiful goal. I wanted to create this thread many times before so here it is:
All football lovers reunite! If your an addict like me tell me why you like football, what you like to do and more…
Personally, I enjoy playing the game a lot. A lot of fun, that needs speed, stamina, good passing skills, great accuracy and best of all, skill. I usually enjoy playing 5-a-side on a small pitch than a real game. In my spare time, I LOVE doing kick-ups and learning new tricks which one would only use in a ‘street’ game - if you know what I mean.
So football fans…tell me about your football times!
I love soccer (as we call it here in “the states”) It’s my favorite sport. End of story
Unfortunantly, I haven’t been able to play much in the past few years because I will not play on my high school team. The coach is…well not very good at coaching and all of the players are individuals. (They don’t work well together)
Instead I’vew only been able to play small, 3v3 pick up games.
I’m itching to have a full size game though.
I usualy play left wing (forward), though I can play any position, save goalie.
Wissam, you like charging defenders? I would be that defender that no one could pass, because I was too swift. Take the ball, get out, and watch the guy trip up as you pass the ball up to your midfielders.
I used to play football. I haven’t been (and is) not a great runner (get tired easily) or a great dribler. But I’ve always had the instinct of like “I’m tired here, wait, no WAY that guy is gonna get a goal. I’ll run”.
I loved the defence, if I were to play football again, I’d be a defender.
Guess we need to play some more football the next time I see you in a LD and find out!
I really don’t have a rule when it comes to a position I play. I play forward, but I also enjoy defending as I am also a good defender. I was a good goalie, until an incident back in 2003 when a guy who was 4 years older than me approached me and shot the ball as powerful as he can. It went straight for my left palm and forced it back. Ever since them I get frightened when I’m goalie in a game with powerful shooters. Don’t get me wrong, If we’re all talking turns in goal, I would still go and do my best.
I can relate to that. I remember when I first continued my interest in football, back in 2004. I played with a group of 8 people every schoolday during our breaks. I was at the bottom of the barrel; last person to be chosen when making teams, and the one that everyone dispaised because I always messed things up.But I always gave it my best. I’ve improved massively since then, but one problem emerged as I got better - I got asthma. I would get tired easily but I always got that same instict you described Petter!
Hope more football lovers post here soon - It should be interesting to see what they say.
