-does a short little jig-

So on night 2, using a slightly unorthodox combination of autosuggestion, VILD, and WBTB, I finally managed my first LD ^^

Before bed, I had written both “I will remember a dream tonight,” and “I will realize I am dreaming” and signed my name under both in my dream notebook.

At first, I was following Pedro’s VILD tech, and reading a bit of my textbook for school, because nothing exists that makes me tired faster. I wasn’t feeling all that sleepy, though, so I decided to just lie down for a little while and pick up the book again later.

That ended pretty badly, needless to say. I got up about three hours later, switched off the light, and crawled back in. “Well,” I told myself, “It’s been about three hours, let’s try WBTB.” I crawled back out, sat around for about a minute before willpower failed me and I went back to bed. Okay, how about taking a VILD for a spin again? Again, willpower fails and I just fall asleep.

In the morning! I get up at 7-something, get up and move around a bit, then flop back into bed. Then, in succession, I had a normal dream, a false awakening, then another dream where I became lucid by the finger-through-hand test. ^ ^;; It was almost like my subconscious realized there was a quota to fill, and had to fill it fast. xD

So I’m pretty happy now. Now I just need to figure out which exactly of those there did the trick…

By the sound of it it was WBTB. But you should do some technique with it. WBTB is like what you add to any technique to have a higher chance of success. I’ve been neglecting this alot.
