I have only tried to WILD three times and I am yet to achieve an LD. However I have noticed that when I attempt to WILD it makes me feel better. I wake up as tired as hell, but later on, I feel a lot better than I normally do.
Does anyone else find that they feel better the next day?
exactly, when i wake up from a LD i feel much better and its not like the usualy “aww yet another boring day” but rather a “wow what a great start” and i can think about the dream and how to improve my next one over the day
yeah usually when i have a good lucid dream, i feel great, of course
But the odd thing is that when i have a dream that involves things i dont want, or when i have one in which i dont fullfill a certain desire, i usually feel good that i had a LD when i wake up, but then i feel confused for most of the day, like i didnt finish something
Usually if I have a lucid dream, my mind is to preoccupied the next day thinking about it, and how I’m going to do the same thing even better the comming evening. Basically, a short period of obsession sets it, and it doesn make me feel happy, yes!
I suppose the success and content of the dream changes this however.
I always feel great the day after having an LD thats one of the reasons why lucid dreaming is much better than alcohol. Too bad you can’t buy a sixpack of LDs at the supermarket.
If i’ve had a successful LD I’ll feel pleased with myself the next day and my motivation for the whole thing of lucid dreaming will increase. But that soon fades away and it all becomes too much effort again
I also feel great whenever I have a LD, I literally jump out of bed all excited and write it down in my DJ instantly, and then tell anyone who’s willing to listen about how great it was lol. The only thing that kinda makes me feel down is that whenever I have a LD, I know it’ll be like another week before I have another one… I really need to learn how to start having them at will.
the original poster said after attempting WILD not after a lucid dream. it’s the act of trying to stay conscious the night before even if it isn;t successful
ya well i find if i do some meditation, which i link directly to the wild technique, right before i sleep that i just seem to sleep deeper. Dunno if that fits since your still tired in the morning, but i find that simply focusing my mind on something before sleep helps me to clear my mind durring the day. maybe its the fact that you aren’t just releasing to your subconscious thought but actually taking an act to control it that makes you feel better. do you feel less stressed after wild? cause that would make me certain that is what you are talking about.
I feel much, much better. LDs are a blessing with my insomnia, it doesn’t quite make up for the sleep but it gives me the illusion. (when you sleep 30min-3hrS it helps)It’s a good anti-depressant for me and stimulating much like coffee.
I feel great the day after. This is because I generally find that a day that starts out good ends good, and a day that starts out bad needs a lot of work to turn out good. Starting out with a LD in the morning ensures me that the day will be good, so I’m in a good mood. ^^
After WILD? I always feel a bit numb(er) when I wake up from a lucid dream. It’s like I wake up slower not to lose the dream… Or just because I ahd a good sleep and am waking up smoothly. Either way, it feels good.
But I wouldn’t say I feel good just by attempting WILD, no.
i feel really unnaccomplished after trying a WILD. I feel like i did before i ever had a LD, like it was an insurmountable wall that i just couldnt cross. I still haven’t had one, and ive been LDing for almost two years. I’ve pretty much given up on WILDs anyway.
