I’ve been trying to do WILD, but my family has no concept of privacy, barging into my room at least twice a night, and when they’re not in my room, they’re (hyperbole) screaming about nothing in particular while watching TV turned up as high as you can imagine. Is this going to affect my ability to WILD?
If it affects your ability to get to sleep, it might make it a little more difficult.
You could try a few things though, maybe listening to music or white-noise when you are going to sleep might help. Basically I think it could potentially be a hurdle, but it shouldn’t stop you WILDing.
I don’t think so. I almost WILD in the afternoon when my brother had a friend over and they were talking pretty loudly and they were right next door. The farthest I gotten with WILD was that white flash that I had in my bottom right hand vision. I wasn’t even expecting it.
If you hear it, and you focus on it. Then it’s distracting. When WILD’ing, you need to focus on your minds eye, all your imaginary senses. The more you hold onto your phsyical side, the longer it’ll take for you your self to actually transsion onto the dream.
If you’re doing it correctly, in WILD, you shouldn’t really feel your body, only when you go ‘Hold on, where’s my body’ you then go to feel where it is, and it comes back to you. Focusing on your psyical senses always deprives my chances of a successful WILD.
I think it can hurt or help you. Music can help, but random noises can hurt.
It also depends on how easily you fall asleep, or if you are focusing in on the sounds.
I like to fall asleep when it is silent.
it could help in a reverse kind of way. If you just go to sleep and get woken by one of these noises. It would be an ideal time to WILD then since you would be so tired you would be on the verge of sleep already.
I would only use music to relax. Same with the sounds. Unless the song is really repetative, is it possible to sleep with.
