Dozing off... too quick!

I had been trying WILD for 4 months. I never reached the final dream state, but I had starts of HI many times, sometimes they were going very far. But since about 2 week time I just doze off while trying to stay conscious while falling asleep. It looks like this:
-After ~6 hours of sleep my phone vibrates the alarm, waking me up.
-I go to the toilet
-I watch TV for ~20 minutes (it always was enough to reach HI)
-I turn off TV and roll back to sleep
-I try to stay conscious, but in some moment I “doze off” out of tiredness (I think)
Do you know an easy and silent method to wake me up a bit? I think here’s a problem. But if not, post me here.

Sometimes people just arn’t good at WILD, ever. Try to stay focused on something constant such as your breathing, clocks if u can, heartbeat, ect… If that does no good for you I would suggest to try some new methods and try WILD’s some other time.

I’ve been trying VILD. Neverthless, my NDs are so “movie - like”, that I can’t notice anything there, because my mind is “off”.

You should try different things. Waking up at different times, going back to back after various amounts of time, different positions. Everyone has their own best settings, figure yours out.
In general, try focusing on your breath, or imagine you climbing a ladder or doing a repetitive action etc…

in one word,
practice.

Hey, I had a new weird situation. I woke up at about 3:30AM, and… went to my alarm clock and… turned it off. I was awake but I wasn’t controlling myself then. I also think my imagination made some silent music to make up the situation when I wake up at 6:30 being awoken by an alarm clock playing music from the radio. After that I went to the bathroom, regaining in the meantime consciousness. When in the bathroom, I didn’t know if I really heard anything and turned the clock off, but when I looked at it, it was really turned off. BTW - the time was correct every time I looked at it, so it couldn’t be LD. Coud somebody explain what it was?

Just because the clock didn’t change doesn’t mean it’s not a dream, sometimes the reality check just fails, which is why it’s useful to have more than one.
