Dream after waking up and going back to sleep

Hmm. I seem to have stumbled on to something strange. For some reason, I only have a dream when I wake up from my slumber, then go back to sleep. Pretty weird, huh?

It is easier to remember dreams from the later REM periods than the earlier ones, this is why some people do WBTB/WILD after waking up on night to fall asleep

So, your saying I have dreams in the first one, but I just don’t remember them? Weird… I’m confused. :bored:

Scientists have discovered that you may be dreaming from the moment you drift off to the moment you wake up. Non-REM dreams, however, are more repetitive, and less visual then typical REM dreams.

Yes, there are shorter REM cycles earlier during the night, but the most vivid and memorable are in the morning. This is why using WBTB can be so powerful rather than trying to induce an LD when you first go to sleep. In fact, that’s the reason for WBTB.
