Dream Characters

I have noticed a few things about dream characters in my experience.

1.) Getting into a fight with one is not a great idea.

Example

The other night i was driving around a town (well someone else was driving actually) and after a short while the dream character i was with got into a fight with another and he floored my dc with one punch and i had to double team him to take him out.
I have noticed this on many other occasions, i have also come across dc’s that seem invincible, like you run him over shoot him, throw him off a cliff and he keeps getting back up!

2.) They are so easy to bond with.

Example

I can use many examples, i love spending time with dc’s they are brilliant in my opinion. On most occasions you can walk right up to one and become best friends with them just like that. They all (well most) have great personalties (i know they don’t have them but you know what i mean)

3.) They won’t accept the fact that they are dream characters

I can also use many examples for this one. The most popular response is one of anger. They get really annoyed that you are saying that they are not real and they are just a fabrication of your mind, they go really defensive. (it’s funny) On other occasions they will go all sarcastic like the other night this guy said so this is a dream ok i believe you so i just dropped it. On some occasions (rare) they believe you like the other night in the same dream i told somebody else and he was really chuffed and i showed off to him. I was in this place and i made somebody announce my name (telekinesis) and when i got up everybody cheered me (that felt amazing i must say) So there are many different responses but the most common one is of unacceptance.

4.) Girls are hot and easy to have your way with!

I find that girls in my lucid dreams are extremely hot in general which is good, and i find that i can just walk up to a girl and talk to her (bond) or if you want to skip all that get straight to the point which i am sure most people will prefer.

Anyway that is a few things that i have noticed about dream characters in my experience.

Like to hear your replies.

On the first point I have not had the same experience. I dont usually fight with DCs, but I have tried in the past, and they usually did not respond to it. They ignored it completely. But I have managed to get some resistance. And when I think about it, some of them have been really easy foes. Kids can easily be tossed around.

On the second point, I haven’t investigated that very much, because often when I try to talk to DCs, they say nonsense. This is ofcourse not the case in NDs, there, I’d have to say my experience is the same. In LDs I have largely dismissed talking to them as pointless, though I do.

Number three. Yes, my DCs can be quite funny if you say they are DCs. They can appear hurt, like they are sensitive about it. And they sort of shun me. But other times they don’t seem bothered. It is quite funny when they do. One DC figured I was the king since I am the dreamer, and she thought I should help them out more. She was a farmer and had it a bit rough I guess. Like I’m a polititian. I thought it was unfair since I never heard of this before.

On the fourth point, my situation is the same, it wasn’t always, but now it is. Although there can be other things that, happen, that, ruin it anyway.

  1. I am in agreement with Krakatoa. I am not one to start a fight with any DC I come across. Now sometimes I might find myself being on the other side of the attack, and so I do have my practical defensees available to me, which I will deploy depending on circumstances. If they don’t leave, or are still bugging me, I will give them a hug, which usually resolves everything.

  2. I love bonding with the DC’s I come across. Some of them are such great wells of experience it’s hard to resist asking for answers to all the great good questions, even though I know I have to answer most of them for myself. My favorite is coming across a DC that I have had a past experience with and they remind me of it. I always feel bad because I have to explain that I don’t have those memories anymore, but I appreciate them stopping by to say hello, and they usually say they understand they just wanted to see that everything was ok.

  3. I’ve never told a DC that they are just some made up character of my own imagination. Mainly for two reasons; one is that I am not the type of person to believe such things, and also because they are so cool, unique, clever, and special that I couldn’t have created all of them on my own purely for my own amusement. That’s just to silly for me to comprehend.

  4. Rare chooses his words carefully Yah in the past circumstances like these were moderately entertaining, but recently over the past years I tend to not actively search out these sorts of encounters.

I never go looking for fights in lucid dreams either, i like to treat them like normal people, i only fight in self defense or in that case helping out my dc friend, i have been attacked in quite a few lucid dreams so it is good to know how to defend yourself in a lucid.

I have heard many people say that their dc’s are hard to converse with because they seem really dumb, lifeless and dis-interested and come out with the most non-logical ***** (i do come across ones like this from time to time) but mostly my dc’s are fun, charismatic, outgoing, friendly, etc. (great to be around)

Rare

I am curious about if dc’s are just a part of your mind or more, i have came across dc’s that seem alot more than that (i’m convinced) but who knows.

According to Lama Surya Das who teaches Tibetan Dream Yoga, there are indeed forms of enlightened consciousness that can visit us in what he calls “clearlight” dreams. I have occasionally experienced dreams with these visitors. They know more than I do. They tell me things that I do not know. They show me my patterns and show me my future.

Of course in the big picture of “all being one”, everything is part of me, but in more practical terms, I know that we can be visited by other forms of intelligence in our dreaming.

That’s actually a mixed topic of conversation I’ve seen on varied dream forums. I think that it really comes down to an individuals views on things. The common viewpoint that I’ve come arcross is that they are always your own creation of your mind representing some part of yourself that your sub conscious wishes to express.

The other view point is that they are all real beings, in some form or another, etc.

I base my beliefs off of what I experience in my day to day life, and as we are always experiencing more in our lives my beliefs change with the tides as new information is presented. Currently I stand some where in between the two view points. I honestly feel that at times I am interacting with more than myself when I am with DC’s. They could be spiritually enlightened beings, they could be souls that are in a state of limbo, or transition between realities (and may not realize they have passed), they could be many things. I also believe that in some dreams I am interacting with myself; or witnessing \ interacting with some part of my self either past, present, or future.

Usually I trust my intuition and gut feelings during my dream sequences. If I feel like I am interacting with myself, then I probably am, but if I feel a divine presence, or any other idea that hints at there being more than just myself I am interacting with, I am probably relating to some sort of essence. In the end just trust your instincts. In time you will find that you know yourself better than you know yourself.

Sorry for the long winded-ness

I am still learning to co-exist with that idea. I agree with \ understand the concept, but the reality of it is just so vast at times. It makes my wee-brain go frizzle-frazzle

jumps away to go learn about lama surya das and tibetan dream yoga

Yeh i sometimes meet dream characters in which i just have this gut feeling that they ain’t no dc. (i’m convinced) I believe that most are dream characters but there are other beings such as walkers, guides, dream catchers, angels, demons etc.

Thats my opinion anyway.

The only encounter I’ve had with DC while lucid I didn’t have a very good experience with them. First they got annoyed with me because I was asking questions and then (in a different part of the dream) they were all faceless, which was really scary.

Most of my DCs will befriend me.
Monster DCs in my dreams are actually friendly in my dreams.
The DCs who hate me usually die or suffer… ehehehe :content:
Animal DCs are friendly, for the most part, or are not a big threat (but are sometimes scary i.e. - raptors, zombie wolves, and evil alligators!!).
