Dreaming of WILD?

Hi… Ive been away for a while because It logged me out… and I forgot my password…

But Im back now…

Ive still never had an LD… but I think Im closer because in the last 3 nights Ive been dreaming about trying to WILD, last nights was the best-
I dreamt I was in bed trying to WILD, and it worked (in the dream) and I was then in my room, so I looked at my hands as a RC, I had 2 fingers on my right hand, and my left hand was transparent… lol…
I thought “hey, this is a dream, yay” but I wasnt lucid…
Then, I started doing things that I wanted to do in a lucid dream, I said “when I open this door it will go to a place” I opened the door but it didnt work… It was just the hallway…

I dont get why I wasnt conscious though…
since I first started trying Ive had a few dreams where I’ve realised Im dreaming but havent actually been conscious… the dreams always continue as normal…

So… when your lucid… is it obvious that you are? and does the dream seem more real, as if it was actually real life?

Sounds like you’re very close. I can relate to the frustration of dreaming normally about lucidity, but not actually obtaining it. It’s a little weird that your FLD continued for so long without ever triggering an LD – but it happens to the best of us from time to time. Just keep trying.

I’d say yes, it’s usually very obvious that you’re conscious in the dream. Even if only because you have the ability to assess your situation and compare it to waking life. My usual philosophy is “If you don’t know whether or not you had an LD, you didn’t.”

It depends on your level of lucidity. At best, it can certainly seem very realistic, while at other times it can seem quite unstable, hazy, or dark. It’s possible to enhance your level of control (once you find yourself in the dream) by using one or more stabilization techniques, as listed in various places around the forum.

Keep at it, and I’m sure everything will make more sense after your first real experience. Good luck!
