A few herbs that have really worked for me were Patchouli and Lavender, my dreams were way more vivid, some lucid.
I usually put cut up lavender in a sock then put it in my pillow case w/ the pillow. Then I get real vivid dreams.
At least I’m not the only one who uses socks filled with herbs.
I think eating more fruits/vegetables at lunch/snack time helps.
About a year ago when I was really into herbs I tried a rosemary/catnip tea to aid lucid dreaming. I used this a few times in combination with meditation and had extremely vivid and realistic dreams, though I can’t say how much of that was the meditation and how much of it was the tea. I plan on trying it again soon though and will be sure to post any results.
If you do use catnip for anything be sure to buy the organic kind or buy/grow it fresh and dry it yourself.
i have heard that dried rosemary and dried mugwort leaves put into a small sac and put into your pillow induces a more vivid dream. anyone heard of it? just a statement of my findings
