I’ve been doing this for only 2 days but it seems to work really well because I used to never have LDs. .I drink a lot of water before I go to bed (not so much that I can get water intoxication) and in those 2 days 1 I’ve had 2 LDs in a row and the other one I’ve had 1.
I think people should try it out.Maybe it will work for them like it worked for me .
P.S. I got the idea from a post that said a well-hydrated mind is a well-thinking mind or something along those lines.
How much water did you drink? I usually have some water before sleeping but nothing happens, but a few times I’ve drank like a glass or two and I remembered my dream vividly!
I always have really vivid dreams and I do keep myself well hydrated all day, I’ve never really thought that there was a correlation but I suppose there could be. Hmm, maybe I’ll try the oposite and see if I have less vivid dreams when not hydrated.
Although, thinking on it, I’ve had a lot of LD’s and incredibly vivid ND’s when really dehydrated, with fevers (or just being drunk) so I don’t know.
I didnt find this technique very useful. I drank a bottle of water before I went to sleep, which is not much considering how much water I drink. Well I woke up about an hour and a half later to use the restroom. And there wasnt a difference in my dreams.
From what I know (& have read), it is one of the theoretical techniques of becoming lucid - though I have forgot its name (the usual dreamsign is seeing toilets/water/rivers etc…). The reason why it is not well known/used/researched is the risks that can occur (make sure you do a reality check each time you go to the toilet!).
