Enterin a LD trough sleep paralysis?

I’ve heard that you can enter Lucid Dreams directly from SP.
Apparently sleeping on your back and having lights on helps getting SP. Now if I tried this, would I get a LD?

If you want to enter dream from SP, you need to keep consciousness while falling asleep. It’s called WILD technique. Lying on back seems to help, but everyone is diffrent, so there is no 100% chanse that it will help you. Lights on are not going to help, it will prevent you from falling asleep, which you need to WILD.

It would be best if tommorow after waking up in middle of night (naturally or by alarm clock), you got up, wait some time (20-30 minutes to one hour) before sleeping again. I’d be good if you spend that time on thinking about LD’s. But it’s not necessary, you can as well do something else. That process is called WBTB.

Then lie on your back, and keep consciousness. You can do that by counting, counting breaths or heartbeats, repeating mantra (I’m falling asleep, I’m aware that I’m falling asleep or just “I’m dreaming”) or combination of all above. (1,I’m dreaming… 2, I’m dreaming). And DON’T move, even if something is ithing or something. If you moved - you have to start from beginning.

All ways to keep consciousness are good, but you do have to keep it, this is most important. Then you are finally falling into SP state. You might hear sounds, or even see stuff, but it’s all normal and everything is allright. You’ll be able to enter hallucinations with time. And when you will do it - you are in dream, fully lucid.

Jeez, I just made a lecture about WILD. :silent:

Lying on back might help, but it does not have to - everyone is diffrent. Light propably will not work, because it will keep you awake.

Would I have to use the WBTB method or could I just simply do it when I’m first falling to sleep?

well as i understand it is easier to do it with wbtb because you enter your rem sleep then much faster, when you first go to sleep it would take like an hour and a half and with wbtb 10-15 min.

but i am no expert, i havent had any lds yet

Of course you can do WILD while falling asleep first time. But LD’s can be harder to recall (as all dreams in first REM circles), and you could have some problems with entering into dream. From another hand, I’d recommend you doing MILD/WBTB/WILD combination - while falling asleep first time repeat “I will recogenize my dream”, “I will know when I will be dreaming”, “I will perform RC in dream” or any like that. Think about meaning of it. Later do WBTB, and WILD. Even if that one will fail there is still chanse of getting lucid because of MILD.

Sorry again. Making it short - You can do WILD while falling asleep first time, but it could have not too good effects.

Is WBTB easier than MILD? I can never seem to remember much after my failed MILD attempts.
