Extreme restlessness before sleep

I’ve been doing WILD for a few months now. Only had a semi lucid dream since.

Lately I’ve been getting better. But I have a problem. Right before I am about to fall asleep my body just feels like its extremely restless. It doesn’t hurt or anything but it’s very uncomfortable and I have to move to make it better. This seems to happen every time I’m about to fall asleep.

I sleep on my back w/ my arms to my side. In this position my body goes ‘numb’. I don’t know if it’s SP but it’s harder to move. I find that I am most comfortable sleeping on my side but then I don’t get that numb feeling.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Wow !
Thats Exsactly what I feel !
Or do wrong or how you see at it!
Can anybody answer?

You may not be suited for WILD, try some other technique.

Hi Absolut,

Hmm lets see.
When you do WILD it’s common for your body to feel restless at first. You get an itch, cramp, ect. The only thing I can realy say about this is just try not to think about it. If you are getting deeper into WILD and you move, it brings you back out of it. It does me anyway :content: After a little bit the feelings go away and you become relaxed again.

It sounds like the begining of SP to me. You said it only happens when you lay on your back? Maybe thats because in that position you are able to relax better and deeper than on your side. You could also take The Nameless One’s advise and switch Techs.

It’s not itching or cramps, its just uncomfortable restlessness. When I move it fixes it.

But if I’m not doing WILD, I feel more comfortable sleeping on my side. Maybe I’ll try WILD on my side and see if that helps.

Oh yea, during these moments of restlessness I try the rollover technique but that didn’t work so I GUESS I’ll have to keep trying.

I tried WBTB a couple times and failed. Either I’m too tired and just don’t do it, or I wake up and can’t go back to sleep for a while. GUESS I’ll have to keeping trying at this too.

Good news is that my dream recall is getting a lot better. I’m able to remember at least 1 snipet of my dreams.

“I sleep on my back w/ my arms to my side. In this position my body goes ‘numb’. I don’t know if it’s SP but it’s harder to move.”
Me too

Don’t think about getting comfortable when you get into bed. In fact, don’t think about WILDing when you first get into bed. Just lie around in your bed in a while and try to relax.

After a while you’ll get comfy and pretty tired. Then start WILDing.

I agree with TheBranMuffin, i could only wild when extremely sleepy, before i discovered the new wild technique. Now i don’t have to think about wild before the moment when HI starts! How do you usually wild? Do you go through SP or through HI? There seems to be two different ways to wild.

I actually haven’t been sucessful with WILD so neither one. But I’m trying it with SP and counting.

One more question, what do the vibrations feel like? Does it feel like you’re on a massage chair with fast small vibrations? Or is it more like someone is shaking the bed?

As far I know, it’s more like electrical vibrations.

Hi Absolute

For me, the vibrations start either from my feet up or they come from my rib cage. Then they start to go from my head towards my feet like a wave. You will feel like a wave of vibrations moving from head to toe while ur whole body vibrates. It scared me so much the first time loll. I thought i was gonna die looooll :content:

For me, it feels like an electric wave starting from the neck and going down the back. I actually like the feeling, even if i dreaded it before, if it came on a bus etc. It meant sleep was unavoidable.

Ok then I’ve never gotten that feeling yet. Guess I gota keep trying
