Eyes closed during WILD?

Hey

The whole time i assumed that i’m supposed to close my eyes when trying to WILD, but just now i’m actually wondering if i have to? Never thought of it, and in the “ld4all guide” it doesn’t say anything about that… So just to be sure:
Are your eyes supposed to be closed when doing WILD?

The answer is probably “yes idiot” but just wanna be sure.

I believe yes, for to enter the hypnogogic state, your eyes must be shut!
So, does that awnser your queston?

The answer is yes.

Ok, thanks  I will continue doing that then…
When trying to wild I feel light at a point but then what…? I count my breaths and get relaxed, feel lighter, and more relaxed… but then i just get stuck in that state, and nothing more happens so I end up givin up. -.- so… any advice on what to do afterwards to get all the way through and suceede WILD instead of getting stuck at one point? When do i know i’m ready to make a move because i’m in a LD?

I appreciate the help

Hm, I pretty much wonder the same, cuz I mostly end up feeling the beginning of SP ( Like being wrapped in warm plastic ). But I have never got any further than that :meh:

For how long have you slept when you try a WILD? Maybe you’re not sleepy enough to actually fall asleep while staying aware. If so, try to wake up earlier to WILD.

When you try a WILD, you need to be alert enough to be able to keep your consciousness as you enter REM sleep, yet you need to be sleepy enough to fall asleep! You should be able to find your WILD “sweet spot” with some trial and error.

I have a question about WILD… when you get the HI, is it like you are actually watching something with your eyes (because i have never felt this…)? Or is it more like in your mind? cause often times when i’m falling asleep, my mind starts to wander, and eventually my thoughts turn to stories and they seem very realistic, in some cases, i even act out (raise my hand or something like that…) part of my thoughts, and it’ll wake me up!

I’ve never felt like i was actually watching something… but i do often feel like my thoughts are turning into a real feeling rather than just being in my head…
Just curious… thanks

Yes you should always close your eyes during WILD. You can’t slip into a dream if you’re looking at your bedroom ceiling.
