Fairly new to this, requesting some help?

Alright so heres the deal. I’ve known about lucid dreams for a long time but ive never really become fascinated by them until just recently so i decided to start studying, as soon as i found out there were techniques to do it manually, well here i am! Anyways, i’ve been trying for about a month and the main technique ive been trying is WILD. A tried for probably about a week straight and i was able to achieve both HI and SP. (Actually i love seeing the HI because i used to force that when i was a child by pressing my palms agains my eyes…maybe thats why i need glasses now haha.) Anyways… I get a number of sensations, i’ve fealt fear, joy, ive fealt like theres chaos running through my head, like I just got shoved as if someone is trying to fight me and my favourite the falling sensation. Anyways, for about a week or so I tried this and…well after about a half an hour of this is kind of just quit because i never achieved an LD. So i kinda quit for a couple weeks in hopes that it might just come to me naturally as my dream recall increased amazingly from no dreams to 1-2ish a night. I’ve also tried a WBTB but i just turn off my alarm and go to sleep without a second thought lol. Anyways! I tried the WILD again and I did make further progress and even though I didn’t achieve a lucid dream it was probably still one of the most amazing things ive ever felt. Well I started off normally, saw the HI, got the SP going, and i kinda just layed there just fooling around in my brain for about an hour with still no ld. I mean i see faint images every now and then but they just disapear and thats the end of that. Well anyways what happens at around the hour and fifteen minutes point is i felt like i had just been shoved and utter chaos was running around in my head with a huge cluster of thoughts and i felt as if my spiritual body (if thats what you want to call it) was trying to escape from my physical body and it felt like a huge tug-o-war between the 2 and this went on for probably about 10 minutes and then it just calmed down and then all that was left was that bit of a chaos in my mind, then my parents got up and my room is in the basement and there freckin loud so i could think at all and then my dog started running around on the floor so i decided id just “let go” and as soon as i did that it felt as if i had my spiritual body thrown into my physical body and all my limbs flew in the air and i just started panting and it took about 5 minutes to gain full control of my arms. After that i went to sleep and im pretty sure i had a really really low level lucid dream and i remember 3 dreams from that night (just bits and pieces ofcourse) and…thats pretty much the closest ive had to achieve a WILD succesfully. Anyways my question is, can anyone help me with actually finally achieving a lucid dream with WILD after the whole SP phase and whatnot? It’d be a great help!

i’ve had a few lucid dreams but i’ve not been able to accomlish WILD.
Oh but when you said:

I so used to do that all the time!
Its really strange, i didn’t know what it was, i told my friends but they just
thought i was insane :content:
I’d usually see weird patterns and dragons. it was strange.
anywayz good luck =D
xx.

While i have’nt been able to complete a WILD attempt but just got as far as the HI, i would say that you’re on doing well to reach that stage.

I think that the main problem for me when i reach the HI is that i “Focus” a bit to much on my body and on the HI so that i regain full consciousness and wakes myself up.
So that’s maybe why you aren’t able to “step trought the door” soo to say, you might pay to much attention on what’s actually happening and never lets the body fall asleep?

First to lucid princess: lol the whole HI thing as a child, yeah my mom thought I was crazy and i could only convince one friend to actually do it, i loved that.

To Tywald: I think you may be on to something, I think that sometimes I focus to much on this whole exhileration rush thing with the fall feel and stuff haha, but thanks for your advice.

Yeah i love the fall feel, usually accompanied by HI (all the time  )
I hate ot too though because i concentrate on it too much, and i end up regaining full conciousness

haha yeah falling is great, its like a rollercoaster sometimes or like skydiving without the chance of dying! but yeah, does ruin concentration lol
